Whilst the Google Weather API has now been
confined to the digital graveyard of APIs, it’s worth
appreciating just how odd the offering was. This is
particularly so given that Google’s only statement
upon the service was that it was for ‘gadget use
only’. Despite this however developers made use of
the API in their droves. Then, one not so sunny day
in the August of 2013, the Google Weather API began
to provide a patchy and unreliable service. Users
started to report weather API errors and over time

The Google Weather API has gone and it’s not coming
