The GTRE GTX 35VS Kaveri is an afterburning gas turbine engine that was developed by the Gas
Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) division of the Defence Research and Development
Organisation (DRDO). In 1989, the DRDO started developing the GTX 35VS Kaveri engine as an
indigenous power plantto replace the General Electric F404 engines that were initially set to power the
Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), the Tejas, designed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA)
and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The Kaveri Engine has a higher thrust,
both dry and wet thrust, than the SNECMA M88. However, due to the Kaveri engine not being able to
satisfy the performance requirements for the LCA, and several delays and cost overruns, the GTX
35VS was decoupled from theTejas programme in late 2008.
A case study of the GTRE GTX 35VS Kaveri engine is being done to look at the engine that was
developed over the 25 year programme, and the shortfalls of the engine design are being analysed

My Reflection Of Skype
Skype Reflection I will start by saying that our conversations with everyone over Skype has been my
favorite thing I have had the pleasure to do since I have been in college. It was different, informative,
intriguing, and easily the most interesting exchange I have ever had. I not only appreciate having been
given the opportunity to be a part of this conversation, but feel fortunate to have taken part in learning
about others and their way of life. After speaking with Chris Saunders and Panos and Stefania, I re

feel that I can read something repeatedly, but having a good example and seeing it first hand is the

England, I first noticed that he seemed as nervous as we did. He was able to answer our questions with
great content and was really funny. I felt that he had a great amount of individuality and held true to
his own beliefs. I also feel that Chris showed that he fits into the masculinity dimension as he is
successful as a writer and driven as a teacher. Since he has moved around so much, he shows that he
personally has a low uncertainty avoidance, as he can take risks and is less resistant to change. An
example of this is he was able to move to China, not knowing much about the culture or the language
and take the changes as they came at him. When it came to talking to Chris, I think what surprised me
the most was that there is a gap between 16 and 18 from what we would call high school to college. In
the United States kids wouldn t know what to do with themselves and I can t imagine what kind of

Imagine a school free of disruptions. Free of bullying and harassment. That s what all students and
teachers want, right? Report to school every day,get a proper education. But that s not the case in all
schools. Some students are not able to learn during the school day. They may get distracted by going
off topic in class or get disturbed by what someone is wearing. If their freedom of speech is limited,
students will actually be able to learn. Freedom of speech should have limits because it increases
education time, it allows kids to prepare for the future, and it limits bullying and harassment. Firstly,
