4. History of brgy.unidad
• Long time ago, there were no inhabitants in this place, the
people lived in the up-land which was then a virgin forest. they
lived on wild animals in which they found abundant, they also
planted rice which they alternately eat with other crops that
they have planted.
• On special get together within their neighborhood, they
prepare a special delicacy made of grind rice and mix with a
sweetened camote, ripe banana then wrapped it with a
banana leaves, they called it "Durog" coming from Pilipino
term which means grinded. several years had passed and the
people enjoyed their way of Iiving until the time when some
missionaries reached this place, the people being hospitable
they Served them their speciality to their guest which was the
Durog hence the place has no name,they Called the place of
Magdurog. This place adjoining the barrio of Aras-asan.

5. • When Aras-asan timber company Inc. open in 1953
more and more people came to reside in this place and
later on Magdurog became a separate barrio of Aras-
asan after the approval of the petition filed by the
people of this place. By virtue of the republic act no.
2523 - an act creating certain barrios in the province
and it was approved on June 21, 1959.
