The Theme Of Murder In Macbeth
Shakespearean Murder Blood, death, and violence; these are just a few words that go along with a way
of death known as murder. It s one of the more common ways of dying and is frequently seen on the
news and social media. As such, people always seems to take an interest in this topic. There s a
mysterious attraction to the subject of murder, whether in a mystery book, on television shows, or
simply mentioned in a news article. What makes a death murder, though? Murder, as defined by
Oxford Dictionaries, is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Many
simply define it as taking someone else s life. In Macbeth, William Shakespeare illustrates the many
forms of murder and establishes how it is wrong. One of the more interesting parts of this way of
death is the motive, or reason, people choose to murder one another. The actual interest itself lies in
the main four reasons for murder; to gain power, exact revenge, dispose of any opposition or
witnesses, and sometimes for sheer pleasure. In Macbeth, Shakespeare clearly illustrates ... Show

There are many ways to kill people, whether intentional or accidental. In Macbeth, Shakespeare
showed a couple ways by having Macbeth kill King Duncan with a dagger in Scene II, line V, I have
done the deed. Didst thou hear a noise? (Act II, Scene II, Line 14) and the others he executed or had
murdered by murderers like Macduff s family, He has killed me mother. Run away, I pray you! (Act
IV, Scene II, Line 80). Many other ways can be shown in the real world. Such as killing people by
poisoning, drowning, suffocation, and assisted suicide. These are typically used by real life people
though commonly used by rapist, serial killers, murders, and the mentally insane. Although you can
use other ways to murder people, for some it is a matter of pleasure or even just the idea they aren t
personally strong enough to kill

Motion Down an Incline Essay
Lab 1, problem 3: Motion Down an Incline

Abstract
The processes of a cart rolling up and returning back along a track were recorded, and the processes
(motion of the cart.) were described as equations. Also, we calculated the accelerations of every stage
(aup, adown and ahighest). Then the relationship among aup, adown and ahighest was concluded.
Finally, the acceleration was measured and was proved from data.
Introduction
If there is a car launched from the bottom of an incline and it goes up until reaching the highest point,
then it reverses its direction. To ensure the safety under this circumstance, the accelerations of every
stage need to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, the net force of the block was mg*sinθ and pointed down along the track.
The free body diagram is as following:
Since no friction acted on cart, aup=adown=ahighest= g*sinθ.
Procedure:
The thickness of two blocks together (H) was measured, and the length of the track (L) was recorded.
Then the two wood blocks were put on the desk, and one end of the track was set on the blocks to
make the incline. Meanwhile, the angle between the track and the desk, θ, was calculated (technically,
sinθ was measured according to sinθ=H/L). Next, we marked 30cm on the one side of the track by
using tapes, which was applied to determine the distance in the Motion Lab VideoRECOREDER.
After that, the distance and height of the camera was adjusted to a proper position to make sure record
the motion well. According to the video effect from computer, the best position for observation was
about 40cm height above the desk, and 80cm away from the track. Then we put the cart with the
compressed spring on the lower end of the track. After that, we fixed the track in case that the track
would move or vibrate when the cart started. Then the spring of the cart was released and the time was
recorded simultaneously. After the cart returned back, before it collided the end of the track, we then
stopped it and finished recording. Next, the data

Absence Seizure Research Paper
Abstract
Several people suffer from grand mal seizures but what if you suffered from another seizure and never
knew anything was happening, this is called an absence seizure. When a absent seizure occurs the
regular electricity of the brain is interrupted. although absent seizures do not look like much when
they occur they still can be as dangerous as grand mal seizures. These absent seizures, formerly called
petit mal, have impacted my life and I have several gaps of time missing from me. Absence seizures
most likely occur at a young age but are often outgrown by 18. With later onset of absence seizures
there is a higher chance that they will stay into adulthood. The signs that someone is having a seizure
are very subtle and happen only for a few seconds at a time, so the chances of catching one is small.
The brain
In the brain there is a irregular electricity that causes absence seizures. The main way to see is
someone is having an absence seizure is to put them through an Electroencephalography or EEG for
short. This monitors the brain waves through various wave lengths but in the case of absence seizures
we are looking for a 3 Hz spike in the brain waves. This tells us if they are having an absence seizure

have absence seizures then you should not drive. Once i thought i had an episode while driving and i
didn t drive for 2 months while I got retested to see if they came back. there is no need to put your life
at risk as well as others just to drive. Nothing really changes in your life it you don t let it. Absence
seizures need to be taken care of by meds but since it mainly occurs in adolescence there is no real
risk for the future. There are a wide range of medication to help absence seizures all with some draw

How Did The Industrial Revolution Affect China s Tea Trade
As one of the most popular and oldest beverage, tea has shown its splendor whilst making its mark in
history. Tea significantly impacted global trade over the past few centuries, spreading from China to
specifically, Great Britain. The tea trade had a major social impact among women, who broke away
from their domestic lives and explored society to become more socially involved. In addition, tea
impacted Britain s economy by promoting industrialization which was thriving in Britain. Meanwhile,
China faced great setbacks as dominance over the tea trade was taken by the British East India
Company, having a negative economic impact. The tea trade also politically impacted China as the

A major change was the way in which tea was consumed and served. The Chinese originally drank tea
in its simplicity, enhancing the natural flavors of the brew. They drank the tea in handless cups that
could be held without the dangers of getting burnt since Chinese tea was served lukewarm. However,
the British did not follow the Chinese tradition and rather, changed it to meet their own cultural
standards. The British preferred to flavor their tea with sugar and milk so that the drink was
sweetened, less bitter, and creamier. They drank out of cups with handles, known as teacups, because
British tea had to be served hot since that is the condition in which sugar melts the best. In addition,
the saucer and teaspoon were created to accommodate the British s way of drinking tea (Dolin 53).
Such changes in tradition occurred because the British were more open to foreign goods such as sugar,
whereas China tried to isolate themselves from foreign products, because the Chinese believed it
would not benefit them (Standage). The common British people was also influenced by Queen
Catherine of Braganza who introduced the custom of sipping tea in small cups, teacups, and created an
element of prestige around tea that all of the aristocrats wanted to take part in (Standage). Another
continuity was the hosting of events that focused on the essence of tea. The British began to

Our Fractious Foreign Policy Debate
In Fred Baumann s article, Our Fractious Foreign Policy Debate he describes America s unique
approach in dealing with foreign countries from the Vietnam Conflict to the War in
Afghanistan. In Baumann s opinion, the United States sometimes takes an irrational outlook of issues
with other counties and that has gotten the U.S into trouble. He begins by describing the issues that the
United States has faced since Vietnam and how we may have made decisions since then based on a
conflict that happened over three decades ago. He takes a rather controversial take on our countries
foreign policy and by the end of the article questions whether or not our government is making well
founded decisions, and I agree with him completely because the
United States has made critical errors in judgement over the foreign policy since Vietnam.
Baumann starts the discussion on U.S policy by turning his attention to the Vietnam paradigm which
describes how our foreign policy controls itself with political suspicions and moral condemnation for
the use of nearly any type of military deployment(68). Right wing conservatives will tell you that what
we did in Vietnam was to free the people and allow them to be democratic and no longer under North
Vietnamese rule. Baumann believes that when conservatives are in power they tend to fight wars on
their tiptoes(68). The American populations interest in foreign affairs and our government has severely
declined since times like the 70s and
Vietnam.

Northup On Slavery
Black slaves were in the situation that little help would be given to the group from the society. As
Northup s thought when he first beat his master, An unfriended, helpless slave what could I do, what
could I say, to justify, in the remotest manner, the heinous act I had committed, of resenting a white
man s contumely and abuse (112). No one would help him even though what he did was fight back for
his unequal treatment. It seemed that slaves was born to be treated like this; they should only obey
their masters; they should take whatever the white gave; they should not complain about anything.
There was not right or wrong, but only what the white said and what the black obeyed. Northup wrote
helplessly:

The system of slave occurred in South instead of North mostly because of the planation economy in
the South. To support the slavery system, slavery holders used religions belief to explain their
misdeed. For instance, Mr. Tanner read Bible to his slaves, and emphasized the sentence that servant
which knew his lord s will, and prepared not himself, prepared not himself, neither did according to
his will, shall be beaten with many stripes (128). He used Bible to back up the idea that slaves have to
obey their masters, or they would face severe punishment. In fact, there is nothing wrong with the
Bible or Christianity. However, because of the slavery system, religions have been used in wrong way
that violate human s right. When southerners believed the righteous of slavery, they would keep
digging authoritative sources in order to protect it. With time went by, slavery penetrated in people s
mind and no one step forward to doubt it. In Northup s point of view, the wrong idea of slavery were
more like a culture influence in the South rather than the choice of individual southerners. Just as what

Packing A Hospital Delivery Bag
Packing a hospital delivery bag can be a little daunting for a new mother since she does not know
what to carry with her. If it is your first time, you will probably have looked online and gotten an idea
of what is required. At all times, your hospital documents should be with you. You should write down
a checklist for what you might need on that special day so that you don t forget any essentials.
Nevertheless, in several hospitals, you will be told what you are required to bring among their
requirements when you are due. The hospital might be in a position to provide just one or two of some
of the items due to demand. However, you might want to carry a few items with you from home.

The most essential items you require when going to the labor ward include: A Dressing Gown A
dressing gown is one of the items you cannot go into the labour ward without. It is what you will be
required to put on during the hours before birth. You can have at least two gowns because one will be
used after the birth. In case one gets dirty, the labour ward can be really messy, you have a change of
gowns. Most hospitals are also warm so carrying a lightweight gown is ideal. Due to the surrounding a
dark coloured gown id preferred because it will help disguise any stains. Pair of slippers Having the
slippers is always comfortable for you. You may enter the hospital with anything you want but once
you are inside the hospital you need to have a slip on slippers in which you can get it on and off. It is
advisable to carry a pair of slip ons or slippers that are easy to put on and get off, as you may still be
exhausted from giving birth. Nightdress or T shirt After the baby comes, a nightdress or a t shirt is a
much needed requirement. After delivery you might needed to stay a day or two in the hospital and
this will come in handy. You don t need new or expensive clothes to the ward, an old pair of t shirt will
do just fine. These clothes are effortless to put on and take off and since you might still be feeling the
effects of the birth they are ideal. You can also bring one or two front opening nightgowns for

The European Recovery Program Of The United States Essay
Left as one of the only remaining major powers, not significantly devastated by World War II, the
United States of America lit the beacon of humanitarian aid. At its own discretion, after the Soviet
Union s refusal of America s extent of influence and relief in the European continent, the U.S. was
free to do as it pleased regarding attempts of foreign assistance. Secretary of State in the U.S. at the
time, George Marshall, proposed the Marshall Plan , originally called the European Recovery Program
, in June of 1947, during his speech at Harvard University. Marshall s argument was to provide 13
billion U.S. dollars, about 5% of the American gross domestic product during that period, to European
nations to bail them out of their continental crisis post World War II. The plan was in operation for
four years, rebuilding war terrorized countries with several goals put in place by the United States.
America would take on the responsibility to rebuild their economies, rebuild their currency, and foster
a free and open trade between European and U.S. economies. Aid provided by major powers usually
involves some level of self interest, benefiting the donors as well as the needs of those in less fortunate
situations. The Marshall Plan was set in motion with the idea that, if successful, the U.S. would
become better off in the long term, creating new markets for American goods and flourishing the
economy back home. Funds used within the European continent required agreement and

Asian American Actors In Modern Media Deal With Whitewashed
Asian American actors in modern media deal with whitewashed film and television,
underrepresentation in major works, and casting in stereotypical roles. These three problems are
rooted in the history of Asian American actors in film and television, and have been perpetrated by
stereotypes that continue to this day. The purpose of this memo is to examine the modern industry of
film and television through the eyes of Asian American actors, viewing the stereotypes and stigmas
these actors face, and looking forward to see what can be done by casting directors to reduce harmful
stereotyping and increase diversity in film and television.
History of Asian and Asian American Stereotypes in Film and Television
One problem that arises when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As economic and political tensions faded, a new stereotype replaced Yellow Peril in film and
television. This stereotype, known as the model minority, is believed to have come around in the
1960s during the civil rights movement as an attempt to create resentment and tension within America
s minority groups (Huh 13).
The model minority stereotype characterized Asian Americans as immigrants that valued hard work,
family, and determination (Mok 192). This appears to be a positive stereotype that exemplifies the
values of the American Dream; however, academic scholars like Teresa Mok disagree. Mok argues
that the model minority stereotype emphasizes the similarities of Asian Americans and white
Americans. In this sense, the model minority might be seen as assimilating to American culture by
acting whiter (Mok 193). This stereotype was most notably seen in the first all Asian musical, Flower
Drum Song. The plot exacerbated the idea of the model minority, centering the story around the
benefits of assimilation in lieu of keeping with traditional ways. (Mok 193).
One of the most controversial stereotypes was yellowface. White American actors often donned
yellowface to portray Asian characters: one notable example is that of Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at
Tiffany s. Rooney s performance was characterized by taped eyes, fake teeth, and painted skin (Huh
21). These characteristics meant to capitalize on the race of the character: by changing his appearance

Inception
Everyday new movies are made within the world with amazing cinematography, music, sound, and
actors. By far, Inception is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. Inception is different from
extraction and throughout this movie you may get confused. Inception is the implantation of another
person s idea into a target s subconscious. Where as extraction is placing a thought in the mind in a
dream. Throughout Inception, Cobb s team builds dreams and within those dreams there are levels. In
the movie, they are trying to go three levels deep within one dream. In the beginning of the movie,
they start off with Cobb, the main character who wants to see his children but is unable to, laying on
the beach. It is intriguing because no one knows ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The music and sounds are loud and interesting. When an important or scary scene would be
approaching, the music would get louder to let the watchers know that an important event is about to
occur. The acting of Leonardo DiCaprio, also known as Cobb, is amazing. The way he fills the dream
with his subconscious is one of his best traits in the movie. Ellen Page, who is Ariadne the new
architect in the movie, is also an exceptional actor. They way she builds the dream to make it look so
realistic is mind blowing to me. When she made the town flip over itself in the movie, I was in shock
to see the level of intelligence that one can have by setting their mind to it. In the end, when Cobb is
with his children and he spins the top to see if he is in a dream or not, they cut it off so that way you
can imagine if it would fall or keep spinning. I thought that scene was one of the most enticing scenes
I have ever watched in any movie. It made me want to watch an Inception 2, even though that s not a
real movie. In the end, I would like to believe that the top would fall over so that way Cobb and his
children being reunited would be real and not in a dream. I would recommend this movie to anyone
who is into movies about going into the minds of

IBD. Many types of medicine can help reduce inflammation, including anti inflammatory drugs, and
drugs that suppress the immune system. There are five categories of medication used as part of the
treatment for IBD, such as biologic therapies, corticosteroids, amino salicylates, immunomodulators,
and antibiotics. Currently, there are many different types and options of treatment plans that can be

Influential Kings in British History
There are many influential kings in British history, one being Henry VII. Founder of the Tudor
dynasty, he was a somewhat shadowy figure; cold, cautious, rigid man who paid constant attention to
the administration and the filling of the royal funds. Henry was an accomplished politician who
restored peace and stability to England. He was more of a dry, spiritless count that enjoyed the chase
and other athletic activities but also music, dancing, and cards. With the death of Prince Edward, and
the murder shortly afterwards of his father Henry VI, the fourteen year old Henry Tudor became the
leading Lancastrian claimant to the throne. This wouldn t have been so bad if Edward IV s brother, the
Duke of Gloucester, declared his sons illegitimate and took the throne for himself as Richard III. The
disappearance and presumed murder of the young princes turned many of Richard s subjects against
him and rallied around exiled Henry Tudor. Henry was now the leading claimant to the throne as
Richard was now an illegal leader. Henry reinforced his promised marriage to Elizabeth of York,
daughter of Edward IV. This brought Houses of Lancaster and York, which brought dissident Yorkists
to Henry s side. ( Crofton, 2006) After the death of the last two Yorkists claimants, Henry s position on
the throne was much more secured. He had isolated Warbeck from foreign allies by securing peace
with France, the emperor, and Scotland. He married his daughter Margaret to the Scotland king, James
VI.

Eustachian Tube Dysfunction
Eustachian Tube Dysfunction The eustachian tube connects the middle ear to the back of the nose. It
regulates air pressure in the middle ear by allowing air to move between the ear and nose. It also helps
to drain fluid from the middle ear space. When the eustachian tube does not function properly, air
pressure, fluid, or both can build up in the middle ear. This is often caused by a blockage in the tube.
Eustachian tube dysfunction can affect one or both ears. CAUSES Eustachian tube dysfunction

Charles Lindbergh Embodiment of the American Dream
The 1920 s are well known for social movements ranging from women s rights and racial equality to
fashion and art. One could even go so far as to say that the decade embodied the American Dream.
America, as a whole, stepped forward. The first nonstop solo flight from Long Island to Paris, France
was one such display of social advancement in this decade. However, it wasn t an easy road to get
there. Modern technology such as the Concorde Jet or any modern vehicle was not available at the
time. The first affordable vehicle was invented in the 1920 s, signaling the start of a new age of
technology and mechanics, an art in its own right.
With technology advancing, aviation began to rise in popularity. Many records were made and broken,
including Amelia Earhart s flight across the Atlantic, the altitude flight record and the highest recorded
speed. But before all that, another record was made. On May 20, 1927, Charles Lindbergh set off from
New York to Paris, France. He would be the first solo flyer to successfully complete the journey.
Rising from obscurity to follow his dreams while doing what he loved, Charles A Lindbergh embodied
the American Dream as much as the 1920 s did.
Charles Augustus Lindbergh was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 4, 1907 to Charles Augustus
Lindbergh and Evangeline Lodge Land. His family was from Minnesota, where he grew up. As a
child, he frequently visited his father in Washington, D.C., as his father served in the U.S. Congress.

Malcolm Baldrige Award
Introduction
The Malcolm Baldrige Award was created by congress in 1987 and signed by President Reagan to
recognize U.S organizations in healthcare, education, business, and nonprofit organizations for
performance excellence. During this time companies were striving to be the best, trying to top one
another in price, business, and quantity. Congress saw this increase and they wanted to set a standard
for the companies and award the ones that go above and beyond for their customers not only in quality
but also in customer service. The reason for this was many American companies did not know about
quality, nor implemented quality into their products. The award was named after Malcolm Baldrige

Roanoke Voyage Research Paper
The Roanoke Voyages were England s first attempt at settling in North America. Sir Walter Raleigh
asked for Queen Elizabeth s permission to begin exploration and she agreed to let him organize the
expedition. However, he was not allowed to be physically involved in the actual voyages because she
believed he was a valuable asset to her and did not want him travelling far away. The first expedition,
in 1584, was an exploratory venture. Sir Walter Raleigh arranged for two ships to begin the
exploration. The two captains of the ships were Arthur Barlowe and Philip Amadas. They discovered
fertile land with plenty of game. The area, near the Pamlico and Currituck, would be a great place to
begin settlement. In addition to their own accounts of the journey, they also brought back two native
Americans, named Manteo and Wanchese, to help the English learn more about the land they may
eventually colonize. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Exploring the role of fisheries, tourist operators and other stakeholders towards the sustainable
development of coastal areas in the Philippines Mae Abano T00247508 Nov. 13, 2014 TMGT 4020
Introduction The Philippines is an archipelagic country located in Southeast Asia. The Philippines is
composed of 7,100 islands bestowed with rich coastal resources and marine diversity (Balgos, 2005).
With rich coastal resources, Filipinos made coastal fishing activities its main livelihood. On the other
hand, tourism is also seen as a growing industry in the coastal areas. This has resulted in the
degradation of socio ecological coastal areas in the Philippines. Because of this problem, it is
important for the stakeholders to clearly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

research paper is to describe the challenges from the rapid growth of tourism related development and
other multiple land uses that have resulted in conflicting land use and resource management between
the fisheries and resort operators in the coastal areas of the Philippines. If possible, a hybrid case study
can be conducted through doing a questionnaire administered by e mail with two experts in the field of
in the Philippines to assess the situation regarding the current policies, land use and resource
management. Furthermore, a proposed framework of policies from secondary research can be
examined if it is possible to be applied with the current situation along the coastal areas of the
Philippines. Further exploration of this research is valuable for the fishermen, tourist operators and
other stakeholders to clearly identify their roles and responsibility that should prevent issues between
them and to help with the preservation and conservation of the environment along the coastal areas.
Currently, the environment and the resources of the Philippines are depleting because of overfishing,
destructive fishing, sedimentation and disposal of untreated waste (Parras, 2001). That leads to
damaging physical environment and resources Here is the

Core American Values
Core American Values Throughout American history, specifically the period of World War II leading
up to the Cold War, the country has had certain core values that they are expected to adhere, often
recognized as liberty, equality, and justice. These core values are known as the basic rights that every
human being should be guaranteed. Specific moments in the country s history relating to liberty are
the forced internment of Japanese Americans into internment camps, the secret building of the atomic
bombs to use on Japan, and the McCarthyism of the 1950s. Moments relating to equality are the
exclusion of blacks from the American Dream, voting restrictions in the South before the Civil Rights
Movement, and segregation in American schools. Occasions pertaining to justice are the murder of
Emmett Till and subsequent acquittal of the men that murdered him, American involvement in the
Chinese Civil War, and insufficient payment given to women during World War II. America has, in
many cases, failed to adhere to these core values that the country is meant to always stand for. To
begin, liberty is one of the core values of America, and is essentially defined as freedom under the law.
There are several examples that the United States fails to adhere to this value, but the most notable are
the unjust imprisoning of Japanese Americans into internment camps during World War II, the secret
building of the atomic bombs to use on Japan to end World War II, and the general mood surrounding

7 Nursing Theorist
In the book, Nursing Theorists and Their Work, there are several chapters that discuss seven theorists
and their different conceptual models (Alligood, 2014). The conceptual models have been crucial to
the profession of nursing. Nursing conceptual models aid in educated decision making by providing
different applications in regards to individuals, families, and society (Alligood, 2014). The seven
theorists that will be conferred are the following: Myra Levine, Martha Rogers, Dorothea Orem,
Imogene King, Betty Neuman, Sister Callista Roy, and Dorothy Johnson (Alligood, 2014). Each

are met: conservation of energy, conservation of structural integrity, conservation of personal integrity,
and conservation of social integrity (Schaefer, 2014). Conservation of energy is the idea that people
have a steady balance of energy, in order to support them through life s activities (Schaefer, 2014). In
nursing, the conservation of energy is used by performing interventions that lessen demand on the
patient. The conservation of structural integrity is the idea of preserving one s functionality by early
recognition and nursing interventions (Schaefer, 2014). The nursing intervention would involve
assisting the individual in achieving a different level of adaptation. Conservation of personal integrity
includes helping the patient obtain self worth and privacy, while they are in such a vulnerable position.
The nursing interventions for conservation of personal integrity would involve respecting the patient s
wishes, providing privacy, being a patient advocate, etc. Lastly, the conservation of social integrity is
based on the nurse supporting the patient on a social level. This consists of the nurse addressing
religious needs, providing encouragement and support to family members, and forming professional,

in the US market.
Reasons to enter into the US market:
HSBC dealings in the Eurocurrency market had led to large deposits of US dollars, British pounds and
other currencies, which the bank needed to lend to borrowers somewhere.
HSBC had been already operating in the United States since 1875.
Although HSBC had over a century of experience in international banking, it had never considered a
major move into the US domestic market.
In the late 1970 s, at a time where their British pounds, deutsche marks, and Japanese yen could buy
far more dollars than in the 1950 s and 1960 s, many of the bank s clients were establishing offices,
factories, and other investments in the United States.
Move into the US market as a hedge against the substantial risk of nationalization by the Chinese

Interest on establishing domestic activities in the US, who was generally viewed as the least politically

HSBC had a competitive strength: its large staff of experiences bankers who knew about both lending
and borrowing opportunities in Asia that were little known to potential US clients.

Introduction An emerging area of research focus on the investigation of viral infections involved in
neurodegenerative diseases. Data suggests that viral infections promote hallmark events seen in
neuronal degeneration such as in Alzheimer s Disease (AD). In AD, protein aggregates of β amyloid
peptides forming plaques and neurofibrillary tangles composed of hyperphosphorylated tau has been
shown to impair brain functions. Areas affected are the hippocampus and cerebral cortex responsible
for cognitive and locomotor skills. Other contributing factors to neuronal degeneration includes
oxidative stress, and modifications to autophagic and apoptotic pathways. This paper looks at herpes
simplex type 1 involvement in AD.
History
The origin of Herpes Virus is unknown but its lesions and transmission were recognized by
Hippocrates and Shakespeare during earlier times (Kaplan 1973). In 1919, the experimental works of

Organization And Structure Is Essential For All Group...
Organization and structure is essential in all group settings. How rigid and how formal that structure
is, can be reliant upon the type of organization. A large government agency or a corporation will
evidently have several layers of management and will have an authoritative expression and direction
for and of its members. Even minor groups, a family unit for instance, have a need to have a precise
statement of individual responsibility and overall goals, while also maintaining an authoritative
structure of headship. The triumph of each organization, in spite of the size, is utterly reliant on the

Wage hours are also unswervingly effected by productivity. If each member of the organization has
high productivity output then it will take fewer wage hours, to achieve the volumes necessary, than the
budget originally accounts for. However there can also be negative effects from high productivity
levels. For example, the quicker a team works the more latent the possibility for inefficiencies and
injuries to occur. This can in reality counteract any of the financial gains achieved from the higher
productivity of the team by having to insert additional wage hours in order to repair quality control
issues as well as the additional costs related to expected lost work hours. The objective now becomes
how to increase productivity and perhaps profitability, all the while restricting the potential for those
negative side effects to take place.

Hawthorne Romanticism
Nathaniel Hawthorne was born on the 4th of July, 1804 in Salem, Massachusetts to Nathaniel and
Elizabeth Clark Hathorne (Manning). He was an American writer who specialized in writing short
stories and romance novels. Among his many works are, The Scarlet Letter, The House of Seven
Gables, and Young Goodman Brown. Just like the works of Herman Melville and Edgar Allan Poe,
much of Hawthorne s works laid emphasis on the imperfect nature of human beings. The imperfect
nature of humans, he believed, was responsible for the tendency for men and women of good hearts to
commit sin and fall into despicable situations. Hawthorne s works can be classified as a sub genre of
Dark Romanticism, which highlights the unintended consequences and complications that arise from

according to Henry James (an American writer who moved to England and became a British subject),
what most appealed to Hawthorne s imagination was the old secret of mankind in general... the secret
that we are really not by any means so good as a well regulated society requires us to appear.
According to of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, civilization requires people to suppress and deny
their aggressive and sexual impulses, which leads to inner conflict, guilt, and in some individuals to
neurosis and psychosis. This is the area of human consciousness that Hawthorne explored even before
Freud was even born. Hawthorne approached this topic in a guarded way, which is the reason why his
works are so full of allegory and symbolism. However, some of his predecessors like Stephen King

First of all, the major types and techniques in this time era were genre, glazes, impastos , etching and
dry point, which is a technique where images are done on metal plates, and tenebrism or also known
as chiaroscuro. The paintings and sculptures of the Baroque period had some diversity them such as
large religious or historical paintings. Also, portraits of people, still life or shots and then finally genre,
which is just basically scenes that are taken or painted of everyday life. According to a definition in
the Art History book, genre painting is a term that is used loosely to categorize paintings depicting
scenes of everyday life, including domestic interiors, parties, inn scenes, and street scenes (Stokstad
Glossary pg. 5). Next skill was glazing and impasto and this was one of the more simple tasks
performed during the Baroque period. Glazing is just when the artist puts a layer of liquid onto a piece
of art and this gives it a waterproof and decorative surface. Then impasto is just simply the application
of thick layers of pigment to a painting to give it a clear texture.
Also according to our book in Art History, Etching process, a metal plate is coated on both sides with
an acid resistant varnish... then the artist draws through the varnish with a sharp needle to expose the
metal (Stokstad pg. 772). In this process the artist can easily control the amount

The population grew so rapidly, it increased 130 percent in 1800 to 1910 (Robert Edgar Pg. 667). This
led to the observation of Thomas Robert Malthus to forecast a tragic future of massive famine on a

the power in the earth to produce subsistence for man (Malthus Ch.1). In other words, human
reproduction would outrun the earth s ability to produce food. He believed that population, when

he did not conclude that Europe would keep up technological advancement and agricultural

In the short story Gryphon by Charles Baxter, it starts out with Mr. Hibler, a boy named Tommy and
his 4th grade class teacher, getting sick and needing Miss Ferenczi as a substitute. Miss Ferenczi
basically abandons the lesson plan and just talks and talks about very interesting things in place of
having class, even going so far as to bringing in a tarot pack to tell the class fortunes on the last day.
Though Tommy liked Miss Ferenczi, other classmates were upset with her, so she then gets fired and
the class spends the afternoon with Mrs. Mantei s class for science. In the story, Tommy was shown to
have defended Miss Ferenczi. I think this is because she was a change from Tommy s usually boring
life. In lines 468 485 and 621 626, Tommy s mother tells him to do chores and ignores his excited talk
about Miss Ferenczi, which implies that Tommy has routine chores to do daily, and is kind of bored of

routine schedule, he was excited to have something new, Miss F, and wanted to keep it that way,

fortunes, Tommy started out thinking she was crazy, but then began liking and respecting her, and
even defending her. This shows that Tommy didn t like things in a steady, boring routine, and that he
defended Miss F because she wasn t like that, but rather was

  • 2. The Theme Of Murder In Macbeth Shakespearean Murder Blood, death, and violence; these are just a few words that go along with a way of death known as murder. It s one of the more common ways of dying and is frequently seen on the news and social media. As such, people always seems to take an interest in this topic. There s a mysterious attraction to the subject of murder, whether in a mystery book, on television shows, or simply mentioned in a news article. What makes a death murder, though? Murder, as defined by Oxford Dictionaries, is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. Many simply define it as taking someone else s life. In Macbeth, William Shakespeare illustrates the many forms of murder and establishes how it is wrong. One of the more interesting parts of this way of death is the motive, or reason, people choose to murder one another. The actual interest itself lies in the main four reasons for murder; to gain power, exact revenge, dispose of any opposition or witnesses, and sometimes for sheer pleasure. In Macbeth, Shakespeare clearly illustrates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many ways to kill people, whether intentional or accidental. In Macbeth, Shakespeare showed a couple ways by having Macbeth kill King Duncan with a dagger in Scene II, line V, I have done the deed. Didst thou hear a noise? (Act II, Scene II, Line 14) and the others he executed or had murdered by murderers like Macduff s family, He has killed me mother. Run away, I pray you! (Act IV, Scene II, Line 80). Many other ways can be shown in the real world. Such as killing people by poisoning, drowning, suffocation, and assisted suicide. These are typically used by real life people though commonly used by rapist, serial killers, murders, and the mentally insane. Although you can use other ways to murder people, for some it is a matter of pleasure or even just the idea they aren t personally strong enough to kill ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Motion Down an Incline Essay Lab 1, problem 3: Motion Down an Incline Shaoren Yuan October 5, 2013 Physics 1301W, professor: Dr. Zudov, TA: David Abstract The processes of a cart rolling up and returning back along a track were recorded, and the processes (motion of the cart.) were described as equations. Also, we calculated the accelerations of every stage (aup, adown and ahighest). Then the relationship among aup, adown and ahighest was concluded. Finally, the acceleration was measured and was proved from data. Introduction If there is a car launched from the bottom of an incline and it goes up until reaching the highest point, then it reverses its direction. To ensure the safety under this circumstance, the accelerations of every stage need to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, the net force of the block was mg*sinθ and pointed down along the track. The free body diagram is as following: Since no friction acted on cart, aup=adown=ahighest= g*sinθ. Procedure: The thickness of two blocks together (H) was measured, and the length of the track (L) was recorded. Then the two wood blocks were put on the desk, and one end of the track was set on the blocks to make the incline. Meanwhile, the angle between the track and the desk, θ, was calculated (technically, sinθ was measured according to sinθ=H/L). Next, we marked 30cm on the one side of the track by using tapes, which was applied to determine the distance in the Motion Lab VideoRECOREDER. After that, the distance and height of the camera was adjusted to a proper position to make sure record the motion well. According to the video effect from computer, the best position for observation was about 40cm height above the desk, and 80cm away from the track. Then we put the cart with the compressed spring on the lower end of the track. After that, we fixed the track in case that the track would move or vibrate when the cart started. Then the spring of the cart was released and the time was recorded simultaneously. After the cart returned back, before it collided the end of the track, we then stopped it and finished recording. • 4. Absence Seizure Research Paper Abstract Several people suffer from grand mal seizures but what if you suffered from another seizure and never knew anything was happening, this is called an absence seizure. When a absent seizure occurs the regular electricity of the brain is interrupted. although absent seizures do not look like much when they occur they still can be as dangerous as grand mal seizures. These absent seizures, formerly called petit mal, have impacted my life and I have several gaps of time missing from me. Absence seizures most likely occur at a young age but are often outgrown by 18. With later onset of absence seizures there is a higher chance that they will stay into adulthood. The signs that someone is having a seizure are very subtle and happen only for a few seconds at a time, so the chances of catching one is small. The brain In the brain there is a irregular electricity that causes absence seizures. Tea significantly impacted global trade over the past few centuries, spreading from China to specifically, Great Britain. The tea trade had a major social impact among women, who broke away from their domestic lives and explored society to become more socially involved. In addition, tea impacted Britain s economy by promoting industrialization which was thriving in Britain. A major change was the way in which tea was consumed and served. The Chinese originally drank tea in its simplicity, enhancing the natural flavors of the brew. They drank the tea in handless cups that could be held without the dangers of getting burnt since Chinese tea was served lukewarm. However, the British did not follow the Chinese tradition and rather, changed it to meet their own cultural standards. The British preferred to flavor their tea with sugar and milk so that the drink was sweetened, less bitter, and creamier. They drank out of cups with handles, known as teacups, because British tea had to be served hot since that is the condition in which sugar melts the best. In addition, the saucer and teaspoon were created to accommodate the British s way of drinking tea (Dolin 53). Such changes in tradition occurred because the British were more open to foreign goods such as sugar, whereas China tried to isolate themselves from foreign products, because the Chinese believed it would not benefit them (Standage). The common British people was also influenced by Queen Catherine of Braganza who introduced the custom of sipping tea in small cups, teacups, and created an element of prestige around tea that all of the aristocrats wanted to take part in (Standage). Our Fractious Foreign Policy Debate In Fred Baumann s article, Our Fractious Foreign Policy Debate he describes America s unique approach in dealing with foreign countries from the Vietnam Conflict to the War in Afghanistan. In Baumann s opinion, the United States sometimes takes an irrational outlook of issues with other counties and that has gotten the U.S into trouble. He begins by describing the issues that the United States has faced since Vietnam and how we may have made decisions since then based on a conflict that happened over three decades ago. He takes a rather controversial take on our countries foreign policy and by the end of the article questions whether or not our government is making well founded decisions, and I agree with him completely because the United States has made critical errors in judgement over the foreign policy since Vietnam. Baumann starts the discussion on U.S policy by turning his attention to the Vietnam paradigm which describes how our foreign policy controls itself with political suspicions and moral condemnation for the use of nearly any type of military deployment(68). Right wing conservatives will tell you that what we did in Vietnam was to free the people and allow them to be democratic and no longer under North Vietnamese rule. Baumann believes that when conservatives are in power they tend to fight wars on their tiptoes(68). The American populations interest in foreign affairs and our government has severely declined since times like the 70s and Vietnam. Taylor ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At its own discretion, after the Soviet Union s refusal of America s extent of influence and relief in the European continent, the U.S. was free to do as it pleased regarding attempts of foreign assistance. Secretary of State in the U.S. at the time, George Marshall, proposed the Marshall Plan , originally called the European Recovery Program , in June of 1947, during his speech at Harvard University. Marshall s argument was to provide 13 billion U.S. dollars, about 5% of the American gross domestic product during that period, to European nations to bail them out of their continental crisis post World War II. The plan was in operation for four years, rebuilding war terrorized countries with several goals put in place by the United States. As economic and political tensions faded, a new stereotype replaced Yellow Peril in film and television. This stereotype, known as the model minority, is believed to have come around in the 1960s during the civil rights movement as an attempt to create resentment and tension within America s minority groups (Huh 13). The model minority stereotype characterized Asian Americans as immigrants that valued hard work, family, and determination (Mok 192). This appears to be a positive stereotype that exemplifies the values of the American Dream; however, academic scholars like Teresa Mok disagree. Mok argues that the model minority stereotype emphasizes the similarities of Asian Americans and white Americans. In this sense, the model minority might be seen as assimilating to American culture by acting whiter (Mok 193). This stereotype was most notably seen in the first all Asian musical, Flower Drum Song. The plot exacerbated the idea of the model minority, centering the story around the benefits of assimilation in lieu of keeping with traditional ways. (Mok 193). One of the most controversial stereotypes was yellowface. White American actors often donned yellowface to portray Asian characters: one notable example is that of Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany s. He was more of a dry, spiritless count that enjoyed the chase and other athletic activities but also music, dancing, and cards. With the death of Prince Edward, and the murder shortly afterwards of his father Henry VI, the fourteen year old Henry Tudor became the leading Lancastrian claimant to the throne. This wouldn t have been so bad if Edward IV s brother, the Duke of Gloucester, declared his sons illegitimate and took the throne for himself as Richard III. The disappearance and presumed murder of the young princes turned many of Richard s subjects against him and rallied around exiled Henry Tudor. Henry was now the leading claimant to the throne as Richard was now an illegal leader. Henry reinforced his promised marriage to Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV. This brought Houses of Lancaster and York, which brought dissident Yorkists to Henry s side. ( Crofton, 2006) After the death of the last two Yorkists claimants, Henry s position on the throne was much more secured. Core American Values Core American Values Throughout American history, specifically the period of World War II leading up to the Cold War, the country has had certain core values that they are expected to adhere, often recognized as liberty, equality, and justice. These core values are known as the basic rights that every human being should be guaranteed. Specific moments in the country s history relating to liberty are the forced internment of Japanese Americans into internment camps, the secret building of the atomic bombs to use on Japan, and the McCarthyism of the 1950s. Moments relating to equality are the exclusion of blacks from the American Dream, voting restrictions in the South before the Civil Rights Movement, and segregation in American schools. Occasions pertaining to justice are the murder of Emmett Till and subsequent acquittal of the men that murdered him, American involvement in the Chinese Civil War, and insufficient payment given to women during World War II. Data suggests that viral infections promote hallmark events seen in neuronal degeneration such as in Alzheimer s Disease (AD). In AD, protein aggregates of β amyloid peptides forming plaques and neurofibrillary tangles composed of hyperphosphorylated tau has been shown to impair brain functions. Areas affected are the hippocampus and cerebral cortex responsible for cognitive and locomotor skills. Other contributing factors to neuronal degeneration includes oxidative stress, and modifications to autophagic and apoptotic pathways. This paper looks at herpes simplex type 1 involvement in AD. History The origin of Herpes Virus is unknown but its lesions and transmission were recognized by Hippocrates and Shakespeare during earlier times (Kaplan 1973). In 1919, the experimental works of Lowenstein confirmed the infectious nature of HSV (Holden 1932). Twentieth century Herpes simplex virus (HSV) research lead to the discovery that aside from skin infections, HSV also infects the central nervous system (CNS) (Kaplan 1973).
