Analyzing Erikson s Psychosocial Stages Of Human Development
Erik Erikson s theory of psychosocial stages, is considered a significant concrete basis for
understanding human progression and development (Arnold, 2016)
This essay will identify two characters lifespan development stages from Erik Erickson s theory, and
further explain the relevance of the identified stages in accordance with the communication used
between the pair. From this communication further identifying and describing meta communication
factors that influenced the interpretation of the effective communication. In the clip of the two

Erickson s lifespan development stages are vital to the way the two characters Sean and the doctor
have communicated. Because both characters are at two various stages they both communicate
different. Sean for example is displaying negative factors of communication and this is resulting
from his psychosocial behaviour. This presenting stage of Sean entails communication that is

LENOVO COMPANY HISTORY
Lenovo Group Limited is today the largest information technology enterprise in China and the
third largest computer company in the world which is has an 8.6 per cent share of the PC
market, after Hewlett Packard at 15 per cent and Dell of the US at 16.8 per cent. During its first 20
years, Lenovo evolved from a small distributor of imported computers into China s leading
computer firm and in 2005, it purchased IBM s division. Lenovo has been the market leader for
seven consecutive years, commanding a 27 per cent share of the domestic PC market. It is also the
market leader in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan), with a market share of 12.6 per cent.

Yang also slashed PC prices by 30 per cent to just above cost. By 1995, Legend was the world s fifth
largest manufacturer of motherboards.
In 1996, Legend introduced its first laptop model and marketed PCs carrying Intel s Pentium chip
in China, undercutting prior generation competitor prices. Increased sales volumes brought down
costs dramatically, allowing Legend to make a profit while overtaking IBM as China s PC market
leader with 7 percent market share. In 1997, Legend signed an intellectual property agreement with
Microsoft and formed an alliance with IBM for the distribution of IBM software products in
China, allowing the firm to sell PCs with pre installed IBM software.
By 1999, Legend was China s PC market leader with 21.5 per cent share. In addition to exporting
Legend PCs, the firm continued to distribute foreign branded PCs in China, and the combined
sales made Legend the number one vendor of PCs in the region. Its 9.1 per cent market share for
PCs topped IBM s and Compaq s share in Asia.
The company was forced to change its English brand name from Legend to Lenovo in 2003,
because the former had been registered in various sectors in many countries, making it difficult to
promote the brand overseas. The new name, combining the Le of Legend with the universally
recognised Latin prefix signifying newness, is intended to build an innovative image for the group
worldwide.

Igbo Culture Essay
Igbo culture includes the various customs, practices and traditions of the people. It comprises
archaic practices as well as new concepts added into the Igbo culture either through evolution or
outside influences. These customs and traditions include the Igbo people s visual art, use of
language, music and dance forms, as well as their attire, cuisine and language dialects. Because
of their various subgroups, the variety of their culture is heightened further. The Igbo language
was used by John Goldsmith as an example to justify deviating from the classical linear model
of phonology as laid out in The Sound Pattern of English. It is written in the Roman script as
well as the Nsibidi formalized ideograms, which is used by the Ekpe society and Okonko
fraternity, but is no longer widely used.[115] Nsibidi ideography existed among the Igbo before
the 16th century, but died out after it became popular among secret societies, who made Nsibidi
a secret form of communication.[116] Igbo language is difficult because of the huge number of
dialects, its richness in prefixes and suffixes and its heavy intonation.[117] Igbo is a tonal
language and there are hundreds of different Igbo dialects and Igboid languages, such as the
Ikwerre and Ekpeye languages.[5] In 1939, Dr. Ida C. Ward led a... Show more content on

Competitors include BCF, Ray s Outdoor, The North Face, and Columbia. The major threats in
the industry environment are detailed below: The Bargaining Power of Suppliers (Moderate):
Most of the industry s products are sourced and manufactured by a network of third parties. The
supplier group is diluted compared to the industry; KMD alone has over 45 suppliers. There is
credible threat of suppliers adopting forward integration resulting in loss of major suppliers and
emergence of new competitors for the industry. Highly effective and specialised products will pose
high supplier switching costs for industry firms. The Intensity of Rivalry among Competitors in an
Industry (High): Equally balanced competitors exist within the industry such as BCF and KMD;
these firms also face competition from retailers and wholesalers. The growth of the industry is
relatively agile in both financial and technological aspects. The intensity or rivalry is further
accentuated by relatively high storage and fixed rental costs, extensive product differentiation and
minimal switching costs. 1.2Internal Environment To provide quality products to a broad

The Gender Pay Gap
The Equal Pay Act of 1963, established during the Kennedy administration, promised the people
equal pay for equal work. Since then, the gender wage gap has been narrowing every year, but it
still does exist in the United States. The gender wage gap is the difference between what women
get paid and what men get paid for doing the same job. The discrimination subject on gender
salaries earned by women have continued to be a complicated matter. It has turned into an issue
which combines our business economics and social culture. As time has slowly progressed,
women now make on average 79 cents for every dollar men make. Shockingly, only a 20 cent
increase over the last 54 years. At this rate, per the Institute of Women s Policy Research, it
could take a full 45 years before this gender inequality disappears. One of the main issues why
women are paid less than their male counterparts is simple, because they are women.
Discrimination and stereotyping is the most common argument used to explain the gender pay
gap. There have been numerous research studies that compared to men, are less likely to be hired
and especially for high paying jobs. They unfortunately are offered a much lower salary. For
example, a recent experiment revealed that when a group of science professors were presented
with identical resumes, one with the name John and the other Jennifer, they offered the male
applicant for a lab manager position a salary nearly $4,000 more (NWLC). The professors

Mickey Mouse was born in Walt Disneys imagination early in 1928 on a train ride from New

The several million Mouse Clubbers had a secret handshake, special member greeting, code of
behavior, and even a special club song, Minnie s Yoo Hoo . The peak of Mickey Mouse s golden
decade was his starring role as the Sorcerer s Apprentice in the feature Fantasia (1940), a major
artistic innovation. It interpreted music in colors, shapes, movement, and story. The animation
techniques were years ahead of their time and have never been matched. Fantasia also introduced
stereophonic sound to theaters, an element not employed by other studios until more than a decade

With the advent of World War II, the Disney Studio suspended nearly all commercial activity and
concentrated on aiding the war effort with training films, goodwill tours, and designing of posters

Effective Management Of Operations And Supply Chain
Introduction Effective management of operations and supply chain is a crucial source of
competitive advantage for any business in a rigorously competitive environment. Operations
management generally denotes the process of managing a firm s resources with the ultimate aim of
delivering value to the customer (Krajewski, Ritzman Malhotra, 2013). To stay ahead of the
competition, an organisation must constantly strive to transform its operations it must seek to
eliminate inefficiencies in the supply chain. This report compares the operations of 99p Stores and
Sainsbury s fulfilment process. Sainsbury, which was founded more than one and a half centuries
ago, is one of the most popular retailers in the UK, commanding the third largest market share after
Tescoand Asda (Christie, 2013). 99p Stores is also a retailer that operates in the UK, though it is
quite smaller compared to Sainsbury. While Sainsbury has been doing online retailingsince 1996,
99p Stores is currently in the process of testing the viability of online retailing.
Operations Transformation The primary aim of any transformation process is to deliver value to the
customer. From primary activities such as raw material acquisition and marketing to support
activities such as procurement and human resource management, an organisation aims to create
value for the end consumer. Transforming these operations is vital for survival in an environment
characterised by stiff competition. Some of the operations

The Yanomamo of the Amazon Basin Essay
Yanomamo Paper Assignment
Napoleon Chagnon has spent about 60 months since 1964 studying the foot people of the Amazon
Basin known as the Yanomamo. In his ethnography, Yanomamo, he describes all of the events of
his stay in the Venezuelan jungle. He describes the hideous appearance of the Yanomamo men
when first meeting them, and their never ending demands for Chagnon s foreign goods, including
his food. There are many issues that arise when considering Chagnon s Yanomamo study. The
withholding of genealogical information by the tribesmen, and how Chagnon was able to obtain his
information is an interesting and significant aspect of this study. Why did Chagnon feel that this
genealogical information was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He even increased the reward given to villagers who were willing to give genealogical
information and therefore created a rapid craze of helping villagers. This way, they were
competing to give him information for their eventual rewards, not plotting against him. It took
him months to compile his accurate collection of genealogical data, and even after gathering
most of it, he still needed his friend, Rerebawa, to double check most of it for him. He even went
so far as to seek out other villages who had bad relations with Bisaasi teri to break the name taboo
and give away names.
Chagnon felt that the most important aspect of his research in Bisaasi teri was to collect
genealogical information and organize the marriages and relations between the villagers. This
turned out to be his most difficult task, but nonetheless the most useful. He tells in the very
beginning of the ethnography that the Yanomamo are considered a very primitive societal
organization of human beings. The most obvious sign of primitive human life is simply the way the
dress. In addition, their fickle nature, lack of industry, methods of hunting and gathering, and
political organization, contribute to their primitive nature.
As proved by anthropologists, primitive human life is essentially based on genealogy, marriage
practices, kinship, settlement arrangements and political affairs. It was through

Benefits Of Yoga And Meditation Essay
Would you spare 20 minutes of your day if it helped you sleep better, stay healthier, be more

Yoga and meditation may primarily be paths to inner contemplation and enlightenment, but they

can rejuvenate the body and mind in several ways. Let s take a look at five of these.

There are also a few general guidelines that will ensure you get the most out of your practice.
Wear Loose fitting Clothes
Skip the skin tights and figure hugging stuff and choose something which gives your body room.
Tight clothes can be a distraction while you are meditating or practicing and could end up playing
spoilsport with the whole experience. Organic garments are generally recommended by most texts

Kurtz Racist Quotes
One of the most reoccuring themes in the novel Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, is the
theme of race, more specifically, racism by the European and American characters towards the
African characters. Critics of the book condemn Conrad as being racist, while others claim that it
is just representative of the time period and that how Conrad depicted certain characters and
groups within the novel was not uncommon during the time period that the book was written.
Published in 1899, at that time it was not unusual for white people to have racist views towards
people of other races. Whether or not Conrad was aware that some of the statements made in the
book were racist and whether or not he actually intended for race to play as such a large... Show

At one point in the story the narrator is referring to Kurtz s making a statement about white
people being superior to the African people. He [Kurtz] began with the argument that we whites,
from the point of development we had arrived at, must necessarily appear to them [savages] in
the nature of supernatural beings we approach them with the might of a deity, (Part 2) Here,
Kurtz is saying how ever since the white people arrived in Africa, it is important that they
appeared and continue to appear to the Africans as supernatural and godlike . When Kurtz
makes this comment he is exemplifying just how much he believes he and white people are
above the Africans because he thinks this is how the Africans actually view white people. This
shows that he truly believes the African men are nowhere near the same level that the white
people are. He goes as far to say that the Africans should view white people as supernatural and
with the might of a god , which are both clearly not statements that are casually made to compare
different races of people, or how different races should view one another. By saying this he is
showing his true feelings regarding superiority of the white race and his view is very

Acid Rain Affects The Rate At Which Seed Germinate
In this experiment, my hypothesis was not supported. The hypothesis stated that acid rain would
decrease the rate at which seeds germinate. The hypothesis is rejected due to the data which
shows that the average sprout length of the control group is shorter than the experimental group.
Although the experimental group grew taller and faster, the control group looked healthier. The
control group s sprouts were greener and stood up taller while the experimental group s sprouts
were a very milky white green and leaned over some. A reason as of why the experimental group
grew taller would be that maybe the seeds in the control group did not get as much water as the
experimental group did. Although there was a controlled amount of water put in each petri dish,
there was an extra layer of paper towel on top of the seeds in the control group dish that could
have soaked up more water than the experimental group. This factor could deprive the seeds of
necessary water, therefore making the seedgerminationprocess much harder and could take longer.
Also, there was one seed in the control group that did not germinate at all. The water could
possibly not have reached that seed in particular. The water was most likely absorbed in the paper
towels or other seeds before it even reached that seed in particular. There were many small errors in
this experiment... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other experiments that could be conducted with acid rain could be the growth rate of a plant that
was germinated with pure water, and then once it has germinated, from that point on, water it with
acid rain. Additional experiments could pertain to aquatic life and how acid rain affects the
animals that live in these bodies of water. Another experiment that could be tested would be the
amount of acid rain given to a certain type of seed and how fast those seeds germinate. Overall,
acid rain is not good for the environment and should be avoided if

Disadvantages Of Group Decision Making
1. Introduction Decision making means to choose the best alternative over many solutions to a
problem or task and it is crucial to the success of a given project or firm. However is it also seen
more widely as a process which includes eight major steps which are: Identification of the
problem, identification of decision criteria, allocation of weights to criteria, developments of
alternatives, Analysis of alternatives, selection of an alternative, implementation of the
alternative and evaluation of decision effectiveness. This process is common to all types of
decision making, however in this essay it will be attentively analysed Group decision making.
Group decision making is a modus operandi by which many people conjointly, inspect a given
problem or issue and find a commonly thought solution. These people analyse in depth each
possible strategy that comes up and elect the best option. People composing these working
groups can either have the same cultural background or have different ones but often share a
common task. These people are generally the most affected by the decision taken and are chosen
because of their skills. The number of people comprising these groups may vary indeed. In this
essay the effectiveness and the pros and cons of group decision making will be scrutinized. 2.
Effectiveness On a general scale group... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of Dundee Fc And Dundee s Impact On Implications...
Dissertation Rationale
Why this particular Project?
The topic I have chosen for my dissertation is Dundee Fc and Dundee Hibernian The Impact and
implications of World war one.
I intend to look at the Primary impact of the war if there were men that fought and look at if they
were impacted by specific events during the war. Looking at similarities of between other
football clubs such as the Hearts of Midlothian or McCrays battalion . I have chosen this topic
because it is a subject that I have a major interest in. Also it is a topic that I feel is relatively
untouched. I believe that as a fourth year student in History I now need to contribute to my field.
This topic is also i feel important to me as i am from Dundee and also support Dundee FC.
Furthermore I feel that football is a important as it could be used as a propaganda tool during the
war (Football grounds were seen as a good place to get men to enlist.) By looking at the effects
on two specific clubs and the effect on the city I am hoping this topic will tie in with previous
work I have done concerning the jute industry in Dundee during the Great War and how it helped
aid it s decline.
Definition of Objectives My objectives for this dissertation are to contribute to my field by
improving the knowledge and awareness of the history of Dundee FC and Dundee Hibernian
focused on the First World War. By looking at the direct effects of the conflict for example, men
who fought for their country and if they were

Essay about International Relations
International Relations
As I look back on high school, I remember walking through the hallways and seeing people and
groups of all kinds. The hallways were lined, side to side, with different groups of different
people with different ideas and opinions. I, myself, was part of a clique also. However, my clique
inter mingled with other cliques as we exchanged our ideas, opinions, and experiences. There were
some other cliques that did the same as they did not isolate themselves from the rest of high school
life. However, there were also the other kinds of groups which committed themselves to that group,
and they did isolate themselves from everyone else.
Now, let s take these cliques and turn them into full scale nations. The high... Show more content

This isolation from the rest of the world instills a sense of security within the people and within the
government. They do not have to trust any other nations, nor do they have to rely on any other
nations for anything. Basically, they decide that it would be best for them to work out political
situations by themselves instead of looking to a foreign government as a model to deal with the
situation.
However, this also shows one of the weaknesses of localization. If a nation isolates itself politically
from the rest of the nation, then there is a good chance that they will fall behind with the times;
thus, they may lose face when it comes to their status on the world stage.
Economically, globalization supports the expansion of trade, production, and investments to
markets outside their own. This expansion is apparent when we look at the formation of such
institutions as the European single market, the North American free trade area, the newly emerging
Asian groupings, and the long overdue formation of the World Trade Organization. These
institutions have allowed nations (that accept globalization) to experiment with several different

Url Stands For Uniform Resource Locator
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator, and is used to specify addresses on the World Wide
Web. A URL is the fundamental network identification for any resource connected to the web (e.g.,
hypertext pages, images, and sound files).
A common way to get to a Web site is to enter the URL of its home page file in your Web browsers
address line. However, any file within that Web site can also be specified with a URL. Such a
file might be any Web (HTML) page other than the home page, an image file, or a program such
as a common gateway interface application or Java applet. The URL contains the name of the
protocol to be used to access the file resource, a domain name that identifies a specific computer on
the Internet, and a pathname, a hierarchical description that specifies the location of a file in that
computer.
URLs have the following format: protocol://hostname/other_information
The protocol specifies how information from the link is transferred. The protocol used for web
resources is (HTTP). Other protocols compatible with most web browsers include HTTPS, FTP,
telnet, newsgroups, and Gopher. The protocol is followed by a colon, two slashes, and then the
domain name. The domain name is the computer on which the resource is located. Links to
particular files or subdirectories may be further specified after the domain name. Directory names
are separated by single forward slashes
On the Web (which uses the Hypertext Transfer Protocol, or HTTP), an example of a URL is:

The Schisms Of The Catholic Church
The schisms of the Catholic Church is instrumental in creating a platform that sparks the
Reformation and eventually establishes the Protestant Church. Because of the stronghold
Christianity has and its ability to permeate within the confines of the Roman Empire, leaders decide
to befriend Christians and seek their support. With this in mind, believers are tolerated and
eventually, Theodosius I make Christianitythe state religion of the Empire and forbids the worship
of pagan gods. After Theodosius rule the Empire split, but the church maintains its relevance in
both the West and the East (Chase, Jacob, Jacob, Von Laue, 2013, p. 172).
Even though the Roman Empire in the West is captured by Germanic tribes, the East flourishes.

Media s Influence On The Political World
The media plays a considerable role in the political world. The media gives people access to be
able to determine which political party they want to be a part of, develop outlooks on government
parties and decisions, and manage their own personal interests. The newspaper, TV, radio, social
media, and other online media, are one of the leading factors, if not thee leading factor in political
communication and fund raising. The media s influence on the political world has shattered the
mold in terms of the way politics are shown. Mass mediahas such a powerful structure that enables
politicians to reach a large scale audience (Croteau Hoynes 2014). The purpose of this essay is to
look at how politicians use the media in order to influence their audience as they try to validate their
credibility with the public.
The influence of the media is more prominent during political campaigns because news coverage of
a single event could turn out to be the most significant factor in putting a candidate ahead. In fact,
most national political figures, plan public appearances and statements to increase their influence
throughout the media. Often times, candidates and their consultants consume much of their time
developing strategies and plans to get the most impact on their television audience. Advertising,
management of news coverage, and campaign debates are often the types of coverage that political
candidates use. The appearance of candidates in presidential debates is as important

The Negative Effects Of Office Beliefs In The Workplace
Office gossip is one of the worst problems that can happen in the workforce. When an employee
tries to spread a rumor or something that an employee did, it can have a negative effect in the
work space. There are multiple ways that office gossip can happen and there are ways to remedy
the situation as well. Unfortunately, office gossip is something that cannot be avoided as it is
human nature to bring rumors into the office. There are, however, ways to avoid the situation.
Most workers would choose to avoid talking with others and not sharing their personal life with
fellow coworkers. While it is acceptable to avoid talking about personal lives with other staff,
keeping to themselves do not make an effective team. The first way to avoid office gossip is
simple, but not as easy. It involves not starting the rumorin the first place. By not starting rumors in
the first place, there would be no problems in the first place. Because rumors start from
somewhere, then there is a problem already in the office. For example, if I was an employee
looking to get a promotion with better pay, but was in competition with another coworker, it stands
to reason that I would do anything I can to get the promotion. But when my competition learned
that I did something that the management would frown upon, he starts spreading it across the
office space in an attempt to break my chances of obtaining the promotion. If the bosses found out,
not only would I lose the promotion, there is now a

Giza, Egypt ABSTRACT
Rice is one of the most important food crops for more than half of the world s population, the rice
weevil, Sitophilus oryzae (L.) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) is a major pest of stored rice in Egypt.
The use of nanoparticles as pesticide could be promising alternative strategy to affect pests which
have become resistant to pesticides. Two nano materials nano aluminum oxide and nano zincoxide
were tested against rice weevil under laboratory and store conditions. Nano aluminum oxide was
found to be highly effective against S. oryzae, while nano zinc oxide has lowered effectiveness
against the weevil.
Results showed that mortality percentage of S. oryzae were 65.34 В± 8.9 and
58.58 В± 8.3 after treatment with 0.5 gm / kg, 100.00В± 9.6 and 81.81 В± 4.2 with

For my cultural event, I visited the J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center in Los Angeles,
California on Thursday, December 11, 2014. I had originally planned to visit the National Museum
of Art and History in Washington D.C., but I found myself in Los Angeles due to the birth of my
Grandson. I attended the museum by myself. The Getty Museum was originally started in 1954 in
J. Paul Getty s home in Pacific Palisades. After Getty s death, the Getty Trust took over the museum.
The collection eventually outgrew the site and the Getty Center was built in the Santa Monica

The hallway walls were constructed of glass, allowing me to take in the fantastic views. At that
moment, I felt inspired and grateful that one extremely wealthy man had left such a glorious place
for future generations to enjoy. Luckily for me I ended up in the North pavilion, where Italian art
before 1700 is housed.
The first piece of art I focused on was the painting titled Allegory of Fortune by Dosso Dossi.
Dosso painted it around 1530 in Italy. The painting depicts a man and a woman, the man is
sitting with a robe over his lap and the woman is sitting with her breasts exposed and her body
positioned such that you can t see full frontal nudity. The woman represents fortune, and she is
holding a cornucopia, representing the bounty she may bring. She is sitting on a bubble which
denotes that her favors are fleeting. The man in the painting represents chance. He is looking
longingly at fortune as he deposits lottery tickets into a golden urn. During the time of the
painting, civic lotteries were becoming popular in Italy. It is believed that the painting s probable
patron was Isabella d Este, Marchioness of Mantua. Isabella s emblem included a bundle of lots,
signifying her personal experience with varying fortunes. One interesting fact about this painting is
that it was found and purchased for a modest sum at a flea market. The seven foot painting was
strapped to the top of a car and taken to Christie s

This was interesting to me because I had never really noticed that before. I thought it showcased
how much our culture focuses on youth compared to the elderly as the signs were mainly
advertised with young and beautiful faces. Also, I was surprised that there were no items
featuring Native American representation. Especially with Haskell here in Lawrence, I expected
to see at least a few things with Native American representation but that wasn t the case. Overall,
my conclusion from visiting Target is that the store very well demonstrated what our culture
showcases as the ideal beauty or standard for individuals as it primarily showed young good
looking white people (whether on the signs or in the toys), able bodied (not much recognition of
physically challenged or signs featuring them), thin (no plus size section and very few signs
featuring overweight individuals) and heterosexual (minimal LGBT representation). This poses a
huge problem because it s not representative of our world and through this lack of representation of
others it seemingly puts out the idea that the only form of beauty is young, white, thin, able bodied,
and heterosexual which is not the case as there are so many more forms of beauty that should be
represented both in the signs and in the

Shopping Under Manipulation By Malcolm Gladwell
Essay 1: Shopping Under Manipulation
Consumers are being targeted and manipulated by shopping malls. Manipulation of consumers
begin with stores studying shopping behaviors and using those ideas to construct an environment
that encourages a consumer to spend more, by enticing the wandering eye with a sales poster
placed strategically. Shopping malls encourage consumer consumption by using mannequins to
display an outfit that pairs well with each other so that the consumer will be more inclined to
purchase the whole outfit instead of just the pants. For example, at Gap there are pants laying on
the table right next to where the mannequin is displayed but above that table is another which just

Compare And Contrast Greek Culture Vs American Culture
1. The Greeks had similarities and differences compared to traditional American s and our
culture. Similar to Americans, Greeks were a very entertainment based culture. They had plays,
music, and texts to pass their free time, all of which most Americans typically experience in a
day. Cities and towns existed, with city states serving almost like today s capitals of each state.
Farming played a big part in their culture, which is shared with America, as farming continues to
be a trade that is necessary, no matter what age. A military existed to protect their society, like
America has. Religion was relatively relaxed as a subject in Greece, where they didn t really think

Japanese community from an emic perspective takes dedication and understandings. The Japanese
community has a wide variety of ceremonies that are practiced both in America and Japan. Some
traditional ceremonies or celebrations are the baptisms, marriages, deathand afterlife. According to

In the article of rites of passage, by Tsuji (2011) he discusses how Japan culture goes through
different rituals when reaching the point of death and afterlife compared to the United States.
When one speaks of old age in the United States, it refers to an individual who is ready to retire
or close to passing away. In recent research, some typical behaviors upon reaching this milestone
are when a person moves into a senior living capacity, the use of hearing aids, and one might
even give up driving. On the other hand, Japan s culture is different when referring to
celebrations and old age. The rites of passage rituals for those getting old start as early as sixty
years old. The reason Japanese celebrate his or her sixtieth birthday is that many did not survive
longer than his or her sixtieth birthday. In addition to Japanese culture of old age, they also
celebrate auspicious birthdays. This tradition is a sequence of celebrations that occurs different
time throughout his or her lifetime. The Japanese reflect back on the person s life for which they
have lived. Another critical fact is that these birthday celebrations were known to guide death
within rites of passage. The rites of passage continue beyond death into the afterlife with the
tradition of worshiping the ancestors. Some of the cultures of the Japanese afterlife include the
offering of tea, flowers, and rice to

Organized Crime In The United States
Introduction
Organized crime is often committed by highly controlled criminal groups that participate in illegal
activities for financial benefits. Indeed, organized crimes terrorize multiple facets of the American
nation, which include the US economy as well as national security. The FBI assigns the costs of
organized crime globally at one trillion dollars per year.
Organized Crime Groups Operating in the United States

groups that are very prominent in the US. Threats of organized crimes originate from various

Many researchers have indicated that there is no single unified Asian structured crime syndicate.
Rather, there are many crime organizations with some traditionally structured than others. With
regard to FBI reports, traditional syndicates include Triads and Japanese Yakuza while less
traditional groups include Fuck Ching, Bing circle among other small groups. These Asian crime
groups are always ready to work together across ethnic as well as racial lines provided that the
outcome is lucrative for the organizations. Asian crime syndicates get most of their incomes and
profits from trafficking drugs, counterfeiting, theft of autos, clothing, and software including cyber
crimes. It has been revealed that Washington DC, Los Angles, New OrlГ©ans and Portland are the
major operational bases of Asian organized crime.
Conclusion
Thus far, the nature of organized crime has evolved within the past few years, still is currently in a
phase of evolution. While the Italian American groups that were once the ruler and the head of the

The Problem With Illegal Aliens
Introduction Despite the multiple laws and policies that were implemented in the United States,
there is still a problem with illegal aliens or immigrants. The U.S. government has spent millions of
dollars to secure our southern border but, with that being said, the government has charged the
Department of Homeland Security to create and implement new and innovative ways to justify and
solidify those polices. In this case study, there will be a focus and analytical approach to three of
the main issues which continue to surface on immigration enforcement. These issues are: who is an
illegal alien; who can detain illegal aliens; and when can they be deported?

this was one of the largest meat plants in the county. In 2008, two of the company s top officials
were charged with hiring undocumented workers for about eight years before 300 plant workers
were arrested... Most of the workers arrested in the raid have been deported, but others have been
convicted of using fraudulent documents to obtain their jobs, the newspaper said (Savage, 2009).
This situation along with many others lead to the demise of the company many years later. Many
illegal aliens migrate to the United States for work opportunities so they can support their families.
Many people have negative attitude toward these individuals but, not all of the individuals that
migrate to the United States have bad intentions. Many just are looking for the pursuit of happiness
in the American way.
Who can detain illegal aliens? Any law enforcement branch including the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) operating under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) has the
right to detain any person seeking illegal entry into the U.S. This Act was passed by congress and
is the main law that legislates and regulates immigration. This authority is prescribed by the
Secretary of DHS to all law enforcement agency operating from the local level all the way up to the

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Behavior
There are 3 basic research methods that social psychologists use to describe behaviors. Each of
these have both strengths and weaknesses. The observational method is done by observing and
collecting data which is then used to describe the behavior. The researcher observes the events in
a natural setting so none of the variables are manipulated. There must be interjudge reliability,
meaning that when different researchers administer the same test to the same subject they each
must obtain the same measurement. The advantages in this method is that it is the simplest
method, it has greater accuracy, and it is useful for setting up hypothesis. The weaknesses are
that this method is hard to observe because of privacy and secrecy. It is great for explanation but
not as good for prediction and description. The observer might also be biased being that he has
his own opinion on what is right and wrong. The correlation method focuses on prediction. It is a
statistical measure of two or more variables and the relation between them are assessed. The
Correlation coefficient assesses how well you can predict one variable from another. A positive
correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the increase of the
other variable. For example height and weight, the more one grows the more he will weigh. A
negative correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the decrease
of the other variable. An example is that the

Persuasive Essay On Handguns Among Teenagers
February 14, 2018, 12:18 PM PT, 17 Teenagers lives were shortly ended in Parkland County High
School due to a teenage shooter. Federal laws on the proper age to purchase a firearm are
confounded and counter intuitive. You must be 21 to purchase a handgun from a governmentally
authorized merchant. Be that as it may, in case you re 18, you can purchase a similar weapon from
a merchant who doesn t have a permit. This has the unreasonable impact of constraining youngsters
to purchase handguns from vendors who in light of the fact that they aren t authorized don t need to
direct personal investigations. The three driving reasons for death among young teens are
unexpected damage, suicide and manslaughter. Unfortunately, firearms assume a part in each
category.
In addition, government law permits authorized firearm merchants to sell rifles to individuals as
young as 18. It allows gun shops to expose deadlier weapons to young teens. For example, State
laws close a portion of these escape clauses, however not all. In Utah and Montana, there are no age

My Papa s Waltz Literary Devices
The poem My Papa s Waltz by Theodore Roethke, introduces a child romping and waltzing around
with his father. Within the poem, the author emphasizes most on admiration and combines mainly
imagery and symbols to show the bond between the son and the father. In addition, a mixture of
diction and tone is used to further describe the points within the poem and characterization of the
father. Even though the narrator tells the reader about the negative events throughout the poem, the
son keeps waltzing with his father and clings on to him towards the end as his father waltzes him to
sleep.
Throughout the poem, the speaker uses first person to refer to himself as the son and refers the
father as the second person. In the first stanza, the author uses imagery to introduce his father into
the poem. The narrator mentions that his father is so drunken, his breath could make a small boy

While waltzing around, the speaker uses a hyperbole in lines 13 14 you beat time on my head,
with hands caked hard by dirt, which indicates more good than bad because the father is keeping
time on the son s head. These lines give a positive tone because it shows that the son was having
tons of fun and mentions in lines 15 16 that he clings on to his father shirt as the father waltzed him
to bed.
From the diction of the poem, this is a memory from the son of the father because he uses a more
advanced vocabulary, such as waltzed and countenance. In addition, the tense of the poem supports
the idea of the poem being a memory from the son. The identified symbol of this poem is waltzing,
because it represents the relationship between son and the father. In the beginning of the poem such
waltzing was not easy for the son but throughout the duration of the poem, the son continues which

False Memory Processing Theory
Critically compare and contrast how well any TWO theoretical accounts of the false memory
effect account for empirical findings from the DRM paradigm In cognitive psychology, the
Activation/ Monitoring Theory (AMT) and the Fuzzy Trace Theory (FTT) are frameworks which
account for the false memory findings in the DRM paradigm. Roediger McDermott, (1995) define
false memories as ...either remembering events that never happened or remembering them quite
differently from the way they happened (p. 803). The DRM paradigm refers to an experiment; in
which participants are given a list of closely related words to learn, for instance: duvet , pillow ,

Two experiments were conducted; revealing false recall as well as false recognition in a list
learning paradigm (Roediger McDermott, 1995). Furthermore, the results from the second
experiment state that, participants recalled the critical non presented word on 55% of lists
(Roediger McDermott, 1995, p. 808). Both the AMT and FTT can account for these results, by
using different assumptions. However the AMT is able to provide a much thorough explanation
for these finding compared to the FTT. The AMT suggests the spreading activation mechanism
would accidently activate the lure word (critical non presented word). As a consequence, this could
increase the probability of participants mistaking the lure word for one that was previously on the
presented list. Arndt (2010) stated: although activation is the primary process... activation alone is
insufficient to explain why people behave as if lures were experiences in a particular encoding

Taking a Look at Chinese Culture
Those traditions have passed on to my family and society. According to Jandt (2003), Confucian
philosophy, which believes in harmony in society through respect to age and social hierarchy,
affects Chinese strongly. Confucianism has various effects on Chinese communication. As a
Chinese, we value Filial Piety and belong to collectivism. I may not say what I really want to
mean when I think it would hurt others. Foreigners such as Americans may feel surprised that
HongKongers pay attention to family so much. If Americans are asked to take a gap year in
which be travelling around and their parents disagree, most of them won t cancel the trip. For me, I
would give up the trip honestly and this may be a main difference between our values towards
family. I like the cultureI grew up in and the tradition my family has. Respecting elders is what
should be appreciated. I would like my generation to keep the culture too; however, we can learn
the advantages of other cultures. Individualism allows us to fulfill obligations to self and to be
independent. HongKongers can take balance between two cultures and get improvement for our
own.
Chinese is in high context culture and foreigners usually feel confused when I communicate with
them. In communication of Chinese, many things are left unsaid. We let the culture explain so that
few words can communicate a complex message. Although it is effective to in group, there are
difficulties in the communication with foreigners. During the

A Rhetorical Analysis Of Missionary Kid By Tim Stewart
Tim Stewart, creator of the Dictionary of Christianese website, in his article Missionary Kid
(MK) (2013), argues that missionary kids can either be little devils or precious angles, but either
way they have a unique and diverse upbringing. He supports this claim by first defining a good
MK as someone who practices what the bible teaches (par. 1), then by declaring the bad
stereotype of the MK who falters under the pressure and becomes a rebel or troublemaker (par. 2),
finally by showing that MKs grow up surrounded by a different culture than their parent s, which
provides many beneficial circumstances for learning (par. 3 6), while also cultivating issues when
returning home . Steward s purpose in writing this is to educate Christians about

The Mission Statement Of The Healthy Marriage Initiatives
Healthy Marriage Initiative
To help couples, who have chosen marriage for themselves, gain greater access to marriage
education services, on a voluntary basis, where they can acquire the skills and knowledge
necessary to form and sustain a healthy marriage ( Healthy Marriage Initiative , 2012). This is the
Healthy Marriage Initiatives Mission statement. As part of Welfare reform, President George W.
Bush implemented the Healthy Marriage Initiative. It was enacted to address the growing issues
low income families have been facing for decades, including social problems that affect both
children and the parent. This paper will address the background, implementation, oversight, cost,
and outcomes of the Healthy Marriage Initiative.
A little background, from 1935 to 1996 a federal assistance program managed by The Department
of Health and Human Services, called Aid to Families with Dependent Children(AFDC) provided
assistance to the children of low income families. Initially, the program was restricted to white
women, but after some adjustment, the government graciously (insert sarcasm) permitted people of
color to claim the benefit. As time went on, officials (and citizens) felt it was encouraging women
to become single mothers and avoid joining the workforce. These concerns led to the development
of The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996(PRWORA),
Under this act, AFDC was replaced by the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

Animal Dreams By Barbara Kingsolver By Anna Deavere Smith
Animal Dreams, by Barbara Kingsolver, which revolves around reverence for the natural
environment, and Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, about the Los Angeles Riots of 1992, by Anna
Deavere Smith, present different sides of human behavior. Animal Dreams is a novel about Codi, a
woman who returns to her hometown and helps the townsfolk protestpeacefully against a mine that
damages their water supply. The preservation of nature and the ability to make a difference by
protesting peacefully are major themes in the novel. Twilight is a play that consists of edited
interview transcripts of various people who observed and experienced the Los Angeles riots of
1992. The riots began in response to the acquittal of a group of white policeofficers who were
videotaped beating Rodney King, an unarmed black man who had been driving under the influence
at dangerously high speeds. Violence escalated among the people of Los Angeles until it was
declared a disaster area only a few days later. Thousands of businesses were damaged, and dozens of
people died. Twilight and Animal Dreams have contrasting major themes when it comes to how
people will act in response to having their lives threatened. The people of Twilight and Animal
Dreams have similar motives but opposite responses. Twilight shows the brutal nature of humanity
when motivated by injustice, while Animal Dreams highlights the peaceful nature of people even
when faced with powerful, oppressive institutions.
In Twilight, the rioters who

Example Of Syncretism
The term syncretism refers to the process of amalgamation of conflicting principles and cultural
practices among two or more religions. This concept syncretism plays an important role in the rise
of secular nation states. In India the scene is such that at one hand, we encourage for the unity in
diversity and on the other to find more about the differences among groups to indicate certain
uniqueness. This strategy in a religious context can be a form of resistance for cultural dominance
and certain power to be established over the so called minority groups. Though each group or
community has its own distinctive identity and values, it does not and cannot exist isolated from
the others. In this line of argument this paper written by JJ Roy... Show more content on

The shrine of Nizamuddin Auliya in Delhi or the Chirag Dargah of Delhi is a most famous
syncretic shrine where Hindus and Muslims go to ask for blessings and Hindu grooms marry only
after praying at the shrine.
In a way all this points out the dynamics of assimilation and synthesis of Hinduism and Islam, also
represents the complexity of the Indian civilization and the cordial nature of these religions across
India. They help us to understand the syncretic culture we are all living in that is so deeply
entrenched that cannot wear away so easily. And proves that labelling India as the land of Hindus

Characterization Addison Short Story
A devious roar of laughter filled the room. Oh, hell no. I ll take care of this later. The night is
young and we re just getting started.
Megan clasped a hand around Addison s wrist and gave a gentle tug. Come on, we ll have more
room to explore your potential on the bed. And don t worry, the mattress is protected from
waterworks. Megan ushered Addison into her bedroom and climbed onto the bed.
Addison ducked into the bathroom and freshened up as best she could. When she emerged, Megan
summoned her by patting the pillow next to her head. Addison crawled onto the bed and lay facing
Megan.
Get good and comfy, baby, because I love eating pussy and yours is scrumptious, Megan said,
wearing another salacious grin.

Suggesting Addison get strapped was a bit beyond bold. Addison had healthy self esteem and a
strong personality, but that didn t mean she was prepared to take another ginormous leap. Seeing
a dildo hanging from a woman from a place where a penis normally shouldn t be could be a bit
daunting, especially for a woman dipping her toes in the water for the first time. Then again,
Addison was an intelligent woman who spoke her mind and the likelihood that she had asked an
arbitrary question without purpose was slim to none.
Addison sensed a tiny hint of concern from Megan and burst into a playful fit of laughter. I
absolutely, positively, one hundred percent want you to model your... Should I call it your dildo,
strap on, or dick?
Megan, taken aback for a second, laughed too. Every time she questioned whether her advances
were too forward, Addison swooped in, dispelled any doubt and offered reassurance. That
flummoxed Megan because she had always filled that role.
Dildos are for masturbation. My strap on is an extension of me. I don t masturbate women; I fuck
them. Therefore, you re asking to see my dick. You know, you are the most astonishing yet
unpredictable woman I have ever met, Megan confessed.
I m going to take that as a compliment. Addison leaned over and pecked Megan on the lips.

It comprises archaic practices as well as new concepts added into the Igbo culture either through evolution or outside influences. These customs and traditions include the Igbo people s visual art, use of language, music and dance forms, as well as their attire, cuisine and language dialects. Because of their various subgroups, the variety of their culture is heightened further. The Igbo language was used by John Goldsmith as an example to justify deviating from the classical linear model of phonology as laid out in The Sound Pattern of English. It is written in the Roman script as well as the Nsibidi formalized ideograms, which is used by the Ekpe society and Okonko fraternity, but is no longer widely used.[115] Nsibidi ideography existed among the Igbo before the 16th century, but died out after it became popular among secret societies, who made Nsibidi a secret form of communication.[116] Igbo language is difficult because of the huge number of dialects, its richness in prefixes and suffixes and its heavy intonation.[117] Igbo is a tonal language and there are hundreds of different Igbo dialects and Igboid languages, such as the Ikwerre and Ekpeye languages.[5] In 1939, Dr. Ida C. • 11. The Gender Pay Gap The Equal Pay Act of 1963, established during the Kennedy administration, promised the people equal pay for equal work. Since then, the gender wage gap has been narrowing every year, but it still does exist in the United States. The gender wage gap is the difference between what women get paid and what men get paid for doing the same job. The discrimination subject on gender salaries earned by women have continued to be a complicated matter. It has turned into an issue which combines our business economics and social culture. As time has slowly progressed, women now make on average 79 cents for every dollar men make. Shockingly, only a 20 cent increase over the last 54 years. At this rate, per the Institute of Women s Policy Research, it could take a full 45 years before this gender inequality disappears. One of the main issues why women are paid less than their male counterparts is simple, because they are women. Discrimination and stereotyping is the most common argument used to explain the gender pay gap. There have been numerous research studies that compared to men, are less likely to be hired and especially for high paying jobs. They unfortunately are offered a much lower salary. For example, a recent experiment revealed that when a group of science professors were presented with identical resumes, one with the name John and the other Jennifer, they offered the male applicant for a lab manager position a salary nearly $4,000 more (NWLC). Effective Management Of Operations And Supply Chain Introduction Effective management of operations and supply chain is a crucial source of competitive advantage for any business in a rigorously competitive environment. Chagnon felt that the most important aspect of his research in Bisaasi teri was to collect genealogical information and organize the marriages and relations between the villagers. This turned out to be his most difficult task, but nonetheless the most useful. The most obvious sign of primitive human life is simply the way the dress. In addition, their fickle nature, lack of industry, methods of hunting and gathering, and political organization, contribute to their primitive nature. Critics of the book condemn Conrad as being racist, while others claim that it is just representative of the time period and that how Conrad depicted certain characters and groups within the novel was not uncommon during the time period that the book was written. When Kurtz makes this comment he is exemplifying just how much he believes he and white people are above the Africans because he thinks this is how the Africans actually view white people. This shows that he truly believes the African men are nowhere near the same level that the white people are. He goes as far to say that the Africans should view white people as supernatural and with the might of a god , which are both clearly not statements that are casually made to compare different races of people, or how different races should view one another. • 17. Acid Rain Affects The Rate At Which Seed Germinate In this experiment, my hypothesis was not supported. The hypothesis stated that acid rain would decrease the rate at which seeds germinate. The hypothesis is rejected due to the data which shows that the average sprout length of the control group is shorter than the experimental group. Although the experimental group grew taller and faster, the control group looked healthier. The control group s sprouts were greener and stood up taller while the experimental group s sprouts were a very milky white green and leaned over some. A reason as of why the experimental group grew taller would be that maybe the seeds in the control group did not get as much water as the experimental group did. Although there was a controlled amount of water put in each petri dish, there was an extra layer of paper towel on top of the seeds in the control group dish that could have soaked up more water than the experimental group. This factor could deprive the seeds of necessary water, therefore making the seedgerminationprocess much harder and could take longer. Also, there was one seed in the control group that did not germinate at all. The water could possibly not have reached that seed in particular. The water was most likely absorbed in the paper towels or other seeds before it even reached that seed in particular. There were many small errors in this experiment... Basically, they decide that it would be best for them to work out political situations by themselves instead of looking to a foreign government as a model to deal with the situation. However, this also shows one of the weaknesses of localization. If a nation isolates itself politically from the rest of the nation, then there is a good chance that they will fall behind with the times; thus, they may lose face when it comes to their status on the world stage. This expansion is apparent when we look at the formation of such institutions as the European single market, the North American free trade area, the newly emerging Asian groupings, and the long overdue formation of the World Trade Organization. These institutions have allowed nations (that accept globalization) to experiment with several different markets in order to achieve economic gain. A URL is the fundamental network identification for any resource connected to the web (e.g., hypertext pages, images, and sound files). A common way to get to a Web site is to enter the URL of its home page file in your Web browsers address line. However, any file within that Web site can also be specified with a URL. Such a file might be any Web (HTML) page other than the home page, an image file, or a program such as a common gateway interface application or Java applet. The URL contains the name of the protocol to be used to access the file resource, a domain name that identifies a specific computer on the Internet, and a pathname, a hierarchical description that specifies the location of a file in that computer. URLs have the following format: protocol://hostname/other_information The protocol specifies how information from the link is transferred. The protocol used for web resources is (HTTP). Because of the stronghold Christianity has and its ability to permeate within the confines of the Roman Empire, leaders decide to befriend Christians and seek their support. With this in mind, believers are tolerated and eventually, Theodosius I make Christianitythe state religion of the Empire and forbids the worship of pagan gods. After Theodosius rule the Empire split, but the church maintains its relevance in both the West and the East (Chase, Jacob, Jacob, Von Laue, 2013, p. 172). • 23. Media s Influence On The Political World The media plays a considerable role in the political world. The media gives people access to be able to determine which political party they want to be a part of, develop outlooks on government parties and decisions, and manage their own personal interests. The newspaper, TV, radio, social media, and other online media, are one of the leading factors, if not thee leading factor in political communication and fund raising. The media s influence on the political world has shattered the mold in terms of the way politics are shown. Mass mediahas such a powerful structure that enables politicians to reach a large scale audience (Croteau Hoynes 2014). The purpose of this essay is to look at how politicians use the media in order to influence their audience as they try to validate their credibility with the public. The influence of the media is more prominent during political campaigns because news coverage of a single event could turn out to be the most significant factor in putting a candidate ahead. In fact, most national political figures, plan public appearances and statements to increase their influence throughout the media. Often times, candidates and their consultants consume much of their time developing strategies and plans to get the most impact on their television audience. • 26. The Negative Effects Of Office Beliefs In The Workplace Office gossip is one of the worst problems that can happen in the workforce. When an employee tries to spread a rumor or something that an employee did, it can have a negative effect in the work space. There are multiple ways that office gossip can happen and there are ways to remedy the situation as well. Unfortunately, office gossip is something that cannot be avoided as it is human nature to bring rumors into the office. There are, however, ways to avoid the situation. Most workers would choose to avoid talking with others and not sharing their personal life with fellow coworkers. While it is acceptable to avoid talking about personal lives with other staff, keeping to themselves do not make an effective team. The first way to avoid office gossip is simple, but not as easy. It involves not starting the rumorin the first place. By not starting rumors in the first place, there would be no problems in the first place. Because rumors start from somewhere, then there is a problem already in the office. For example, if I was an employee looking to get a promotion with better pay, but was in competition with another coworker, it stands to reason that I would do anything I can to get the promotion. But when my competition learned that I did something that the management would frown upon, he starts spreading it across the office space in an attempt to break my chances of obtaining the promotion. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) is a major pest of stored rice in Egypt. The use of nanoparticles as pesticide could be promising alternative strategy to affect pests which have become resistant to pesticides. Two nano materials nano aluminum oxide and nano zincoxide were tested against rice weevil under laboratory and store conditions. Nano aluminum oxide was found to be highly effective against S. oryzae, while nano zinc oxide has lowered effectiveness against the weevil. Results showed that mortality percentage of S. oryzae were 65.34 В± 8.9 and 58.58 В± 8.3 after treatment with 0.5 gm / kg, 100.00В± 9.6 and 81.81 В± 4.2 with 1 gm / kg. At that moment, I felt inspired and grateful that one extremely wealthy man had left such a glorious place for future generations to enjoy. Luckily for me I ended up in the North pavilion, where Italian art before 1700 is housed. The first piece of art I focused on was the painting titled Allegory of Fortune by Dosso Dossi. Dosso painted it around 1530 in Italy. The painting depicts a man and a woman, the man is sitting with a robe over his lap and the woman is sitting with her breasts exposed and her body positioned such that you can t see full frontal nudity. The woman represents fortune, and she is holding a cornucopia, representing the bounty she may bring. She is sitting on a bubble which denotes that her favors are fleeting. The man in the painting represents chance. He is looking longingly at fortune as he deposits lottery tickets into a golden urn. During the time of the painting, civic lotteries were becoming popular in Italy. It is believed that the painting s probable patron was Isabella d Este, Marchioness of Mantua. Isabella s emblem included a bundle of lots, signifying her personal experience with varying fortunes. One interesting fact about this painting is that it was found and purchased for a modest sum at a flea market. The seven foot painting was strapped to the top of a car and taken to Christie s ... In recent research, some typical behaviors upon reaching this milestone are when a person moves into a senior living capacity, the use of hearing aids, and one might even give up driving. On the other hand, Japan s culture is different when referring to celebrations and old age. The rites of passage rituals for those getting old start as early as sixty years old. In addition to Japanese culture of old age, they also celebrate auspicious birthdays. This tradition is a sequence of celebrations that occurs different time throughout his or her lifetime. • 37. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Social Behavior There are 3 basic research methods that social psychologists use to describe behaviors. Each of these have both strengths and weaknesses. The observational method is done by observing and collecting data which is then used to describe the behavior. The researcher observes the events in a natural setting so none of the variables are manipulated. There must be interjudge reliability, meaning that when different researchers administer the same test to the same subject they each must obtain the same measurement. The advantages in this method is that it is the simplest method, it has greater accuracy, and it is useful for setting up hypothesis. The weaknesses are that this method is hard to observe because of privacy and secrecy. It is great for explanation but not as good for prediction and description. The observer might also be biased being that he has his own opinion on what is right and wrong. The correlation method focuses on prediction. It is a statistical measure of two or more variables and the relation between them are assessed. The Correlation coefficient assesses how well you can predict one variable from another. A positive correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the increase of the other variable. For example height and weight, the more one grows the more he will weigh. A negative correlation is when the value of one variable increases it is associated with the decrease of the other variable. An example is that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This has the unreasonable impact of constraining youngsters to purchase handguns from vendors who in light of the fact that they aren t authorized don t need to direct personal investigations. The three driving reasons for death among young teens are unexpected damage, suicide and manslaughter. Unfortunately, firearms assume a part in each category. In addition, government law permits authorized firearm merchants to sell rifles to individuals as young as 18. It allows gun shops to expose deadlier weapons to young teens. Even though the narrator tells the reader about the negative events throughout the poem, the son keeps waltzing with his father and clings on to him towards the end as his father waltzes him to sleep. Throughout the poem, the speaker uses first person to refer to himself as the son and refers the father as the second person. The AMT suggests the spreading activation mechanism would accidently activate the lure word (critical non presented word). As a consequence, this could increase the probability of participants mistaking the lure word for one that was previously on the presented list.
