23. Some observations
• Generally from the 3rd day onwards there will be agni deepthi
• Kosta Snigdhata is seen before Twak snigdhata
• We can asses koshta snigdhata by sneha darshana in stool – this can
be under stood by asking the patient whether he felt oiliness in the
hand while washing after defecation.
• In some cases for the first 2 days the patients won’t pass the stools
• For all the complications of snehapana – Shunti dhanyaka jala is
sufficient.
• Before snehapana a thorough rookshana is necessary for better
results.
• High doses can be given in two divided doses with ½ to 1 hour gap.
Dr Sharma's Panchakarma Concepts
24. • Intake of hot water is essential in small quantity
but frequently.
• In case of nausea can give ardraka to chew/
lemon to smell and taste.
• Sneha with Honey and Saindhava
• Food only when hunger is there
• Sometime during digestion it may mimic hunger.
• Sometimes patients may not tell hunger but feel
severe weakness then food has to be given.
• Food as per text
