39. Bala Mula Rasayana
The powder of root of Bala (Sida cardifolia) in
the dose of 50gm (one Pala) is to be taken
mixed with milk once daily in the morning.
The Rasayana drug is to be given after
performing proper Shodhana.
After Pachana of the drug, the diet
comprising of Rice mixed with ghee and milk
is to be given.
The administration of the drug for 12 days the
aging is prevented for twelve years and if
taken for 100 days then young age is
established for 100 years.

40. Atibala, Nagbala, Vidari-
Atibala, Nagbala, Vidari-kanda
& Shatavari Rasayana
The powder of root of Atibala is to be taken with
water.
The powder of Nagabala is to be taken with honey.

Ashvagandha, Shatavari, Guduchi, Amalaki

Seasonal Diseases:
Chudasama and Singh (1986) treated a
group of patients who frequently got the
attacks of pharyngitis, common cold etc and it
was reported that it prevented the recurrence
of these diseases.
Mandip and Singh (1997) used Guduchi and
Gokshura in a group of UTI patients and
reported the prevention of recurrence of UTI.
Baghel and Singh (1991) used Amalaki and
Shatavari in peptic ulcer and allied disorders
and reported beneficial affect on the patients.

Singh (1987) reported that addition of
Ashvagandha to the Shamana treatment of
Allergic Rhinitis and Allergic Pharyngitis prevents
their recurrence.
Sharma and Singh (1989) reported that addition
of Guduchi and Bhringaraja to the Shamana
treatment of urticaria significantly increases its
cure rate from about 27% to 71%.
Mandip, Chandola and Singh (2001) reported
that the addition of Guduchi and Bhringaraja to
the conservative treatment of Eczema
significantly increases its cure rate and prevents
its recurrences.
