scientific verses in medical treatises) and the
clinical decisions remain a greatest challenge
and uncertainity for Ayurveda community .
 Effective comprehension and translation of true
intentions of shastra called the shastraarthas
into the requirements of on the target
diagnosis, management and prevention of
diseases are mandatory for the successful
intended results .

4. TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE
 The application of the shastraarthas ( the true
implications of shastra ) into Practice of
Medicine.
 Shastraarthas are to be discovered in the
PATIENT and not in laborotary after their
indepth learning, pondering and contemplating
their intentions .
 The pertinently discovered application of
shastraarthas provide immediate direct benefits
to human health

5. FUNDAMENTAL EXTRAPOLATION
 Indepth understanding of basic principles of
Ayurveda and modern medicine .
 Understanding the true implications of basic
principles of Ayurveda .
 Learning the pertinent application of these
implications in accordance to the variable cause-
mechanisms, state and stages of every individual
patient .
 Scientific appraisal of the results ( not action of
empirical choice of medicine) of this translation

6. FUNDAMENTAL EXTRAPOLATION
• Establishing the conclusive judgement of rationale
by repeating the rationale oriented applied research
in identical cause- circumstances and making the
scientific reasoning transparent and reproducible
for future researchers .
• Establishing the scientific application of rationale
shortens the proces sof translation of basic science
into practice.
• Cut off the unnecessary and unintended medicines
and treatments in the prescriptions and ensures the
presence of intended one .

7. TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH
 Translational research should be the very basis of
Applied Medicine in Ayurveda .
 The standardised methodologies for translational
research are developed and published in SBEBA (
Science Based Evidence Based Ayurveda ) by both
basic and clinical research by Dr. Remya krishnan
and Dr. Rajkumar .
 There should be mandatory chapters for BAMS
and MD students to learn and comprehend the
translation of shastraarthjas for indepth and clear-
cut understanding of Ayurvedic pathogenesis and
management of infections, inflammatory diseases,
metabolic and endocrine ailments .

8. TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE
 Translational Medicine will close the gap between
WHAT WE LEARN AND WHAT WE PRACTICE .
 Translational Medicine is critically needed today for
implementing the cost effective means of healthcare
delivery.
 To terminate the never ending uncertainity in
Ayurvedic clinical practice today .
 To shorten the duration of treatment and initiate the
intended results in intended time of therapeutic
action

9. LEARN –COMPREHEND – PRACTICE ( LCP)
o A physician cannot sit idle if he is a clinical
practitioner as he needs to constantly work hard TO
DO THE RIGHT.
o Constant emergence of new discoveries from old
and stable shastrik inputs .
o Only clinical research ( not animal studies or
molecular reductionist studies) effectively tanslate
Basic science of Ayurveda into Applied Medicine
because Ayurveda is fundamentally explained as
SCIENCE OF LIFE OF HUMANBEING
