MCCI and Law Firms Your Message. Our Mission. For us, working with area law firms has been our passion, and has become one of the larger business lines for MCCI. The last thing your firm needs is to hire a marketing and communications agency that doesn’t understand the pressures involved with working in and running a law firm and how your compensation system works. There are a lot of “generalists” out there who will tell you they understand, but don’t even come close to the breadth of experience MCCI has with firms like yours. Let’s face it. Your world is different from most businesses out there and we understand that. Our Experience Our MCCI pros, with experience in serving as in-house and outsourced marketing and public relations support, possess more strategic acumen than any other agency in Michigan. Add that to the expertise we bring in marketing specific industry and practice groups at your firm gives us a defined edge in the marketplace and the know-how to make a difference in executing your firm’s goals and objectives.
Supporting Your Team with Ours Your Message. Our Mission. Most firms cannot afford the cost of building an in-house marketing team or hire additional in-house support for your current team. Hiring MCCI to handle your marketing and public relations needs is as inexpensive as bringing in a junior staff member - without having to pay benefits. For the same price, we give you a team of pros that can lead you in the right direction. We offer experience, depth and an approach that will give you options you never thought existed. We also have the experience to work one-on-one with your top firm marketers, while working with the guidelines of your firm’s compensation system – making sure the marketing strategy is perfectly aligned with your business plan. Bottom line – we bring you the experience you need to get to the next level. What We Know About You Because we’ve worked for and with all types of law firms, we have a good idea of what we’re dealing with when we walk into your offices. We know that there are probably people in your firm that are very good at marketing and we also know that there are a number of your attorneys who don’t possess the skill-set to go beyond their current path of doing the work and cranking out the hours. Successful firms need both. But we won’t waste your time with those who can’t deliver on the firm’s marketing strategy. What we will do is work with those who need to be better aligned, coached, helped with a personal business plan and frankly, just need more opportunities to meet new people, align with new prospects, find new referral sources and get more visibility. We call those people your “succession” plan. The second tier of folks who need a map to be a major contributor to the firm. That’s what we do. We also know that for medium and small size law firms, it’s crunch time. Those who don’t distinguish themselves in the most competitive landscape in Michigan history will not survive. We understand your urgency and will help achieve your short and long term goals.

Your Message. Our Mission. The MCCI Skill Set – How We Do It MARKETING MCCI has set strategies for and aligned law firms to new referral networks, affinity partnerships, charitable investments and individual “succession” partner coaching and training designed to help the organization move forward towards increased visibility and revenue opportunities. Beginning with the strategic plan (if you have one – if not we’ll help you develop one) MCCI works with your firm and in-house strategists to develop new opportunities and leverage those you already engage in to get maximum benefit. From designing and implementing individual marketing plans for your second tier (succession or future rainmaker group) to developing new exposure opportunities for the firm, MCCI has a reputation of getting your firm in front of prospects and decision makers who can positively impact your bottom line through strategic planning and execution. MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS MCCI is well aware that the days of sending out a press release to get attention is over. First of all, without development of a real story, press releases are sheets in the wind to reporters. Secondly – MCCI is skilled at targeting the right reporters for your practice, be it traditional media, industry analysts and publications or bloggers. We engage a proprietary software system which identifies local, regional and national media contacts who are interested in your specific practice areas and subject matter expertise. We also host a staff of talented writers and media veterans who know how to put legal speak into concise messaging that exposes your talented attorneys in media avenues from guest and op-ed columns, to being used as subject matter experts on ongoing industry-specific reporting.
Your Message. Our Mission. The MCCI Skill Set – (cont.) POLLING & SURVEYS MCCI has found that a unique way to build marketplace expertise for your firm is to commission an earned media campaign using industry specific polling/surveys which effectively expose your firm to print and electronic media. By utilizing our long-term partnership with noted polling company EPIC/MRA, we can help you provide needed data that most media companies no longer have the resources to provide for themselves. By either sharing the costs with a referral client or going it alone, polling is an effective and economical way to grab attention in a crowded marketplace and a tremendous way to develop subject matter exposure for your leadership. MCCI is experienced at conducting the internal and external research necessary to make sure your brand and messaging is aligned with your business development goals and objectives. From focus groups and client interviews to design and collateral capabilities and message development, our pros make sure your message and image fully represents the firm in a manner which sets you apart to your business targets. BRANDING

From developing “custom” campaigns that fit your firm’s online goals and objectives to developing rich unique content that’s the lifeblood of any campaign, we know how to get attention for your firm in new media. We build blogs, update and completely revamp websites and use necessary tools to make sure your message is carried on multiple social platforms to reach audiences that matter to your firm.
