6. The Bench Sales Process
Person needs to follow full Recruitment life cycle. Starting from sourcing
CV, screening, negotiating rates, coordinating with clients, follow up till offer
and joining of the candidate.
Needs to market consultants at bench.
Go through the resume you are going to market. Have to make sure you
know every part of resume and skills they had used in the projects
Based on the Technologies have to search for the various contract Job
Openings across US market on the various Job sites like Dice, Google, Career
builder, simply hired ,etc. and submitting the resume.
Posting resumes on behalf of consultants in to various job portals
figures out the Best requirements in the sense those requirements which are
dealt by the preferred vendors of the Direct /End Clients.
makes a contact with the client & confirms whether the requirement is for
their direct client or not.
7. makes a deal so as to provide the Best resource for their job requirement and
takes all the required information about the job posting through e-mail.
Required information includes: Job title, Location, Duration/Length, Rate/hr
& description of the job, Clients Contact details.
Negotiating rates, regarding the Hourly Rates and getting the best possible
rates for consultants.
After submits the best profile obtained either of the resources & keeps
following up with the client on the status of the profile submitted for a
particular job posting and its feedback if any from the client’s side
Discuss the interview schedules with your consultants and be in touch with
vendors or clients you work with.
If the profile is short listed then profile goes for an interview with the End
client /Direct client ,and based on the performance at the interview the End
client decides to offer the job to the consultant or not ,if the consultant gets
the offer it is considered as a CLOSURE .
9. TYPE OF CONSULTANT’S
1. Corp-to-Corp and 1099’s
The majority of our candidates/consultants fall within this category.
a. Personal Benefit’s offer to this type of consultant
i. None
ii. The candidate/company is responsible for all taxes.
b. Contract needed
i. For Corp-to-Corp, a contract needs to be put in place between <YOUR
COMPANY NAME> and the company providing the consultant. A
purchase order is then used to formalize the placement of a consultant.
ii. For 1099s, this candidates usually working alone as 1099 consultants.
10. c. Payment Terms
i. For both Corp-to-Corp and 1099s, <YOUR COMPANY NAME> pays
Net 30 upon receipt of approved timesheet and invoice.
ii. The consultant/company must provide <YOUR COMPANY
NAME> with an Invoice along with the supporting signed timesheets.
We prefer monthly but they can also submit weekly and bi-monthly.
The invoice/timesheet should be sent via email or fax
iii. Invoices/Timesheets may be sent in weekly, biweekly or monthly
but <YOUR COMPANY NAME> prefers to receive the timesheets
weekly and the invoice monthly.
iv. Regardless of the frequency, all invoices/timesheets for the month
must be received by <YOUR COMPANY NAME> no later than the 5th
of the following month.
11. 2) W-2 Consultants
we work with some W-2 Consultants but prefer not to. With W-2’s there is
additional costs (Taxes) and additional risk (unemployment).
a. Personal Benefit’s offer to this type of consultant
i. Access to <YOUR COMPANY NAME>’s Health Care
ii. Access to <YOUR COMPANY NAME>’s 401K plan
iii. Taxes
iv. Others
In order to cover these additional costs, the pay rate for W-2 consultants
should be approximately 15% lower then what the pay rate is for a 1099/Corp
to- Corp consultant
b. Contract needed
i. A standard contract needs to be put in place between <YOUR
COMPANY NAME> and the candidate.
12. c. Payment Terms
i. <YOUR COMPANY NAME> pays W-2 Consultants Monthly on the
15th of the Month. So any hours worked during the current month
will be paid on the 15th of the following month.
ii. Signed timesheets should be sent weekly via email or fax.
iii. Regardless of the frequency, all invoices/timesheets for the month
must be received by <YOUR COMPANY NAME> no later than the 5th of
the following month.
13. Tax Term – Tax Terms include:
Full-time – Will be working as a full-time W-2 employee for the company.
Part-time – Will be working as a part-time W-2 employee for the company.
Contract - Corp-to-Corp – Will be working on contract with or through another
corporation.
Contract - Independent – Will be working as a contract 1099 employee for the
company.
Contract - W2 – Will be working as a contract W-2 employee for the company.
Contract to Hire - Corp-to-Corp – Will be working on contract with or through
another corporation with the option to hire.
Contract to Hire - Independent – Will be working as a contract 1099 employee for
the company with the option to hire.
Contract to Hire - W2 – Will be working as a contract W-2 employee for the company
with the option to hire.
14. Mode of Hiring or Position Type is a contract established between a person
and a company OR between a company and another company.
Contract between a company and a person:
W2: On W2, Candidate will work as a full time employee of a company
(Employer) and employer takes care of employee and employer taxes. Employer
sends w2 form to candidate in January, for the previous year wages and
deductions. Candidates submit tax returns to IRS usually, and occasionally
employer also submits tax returns on behalf of candidate.
Eligible Candidates: American Citizen, Green Card (GC) Holder, EADs
(Employer Authorization Document), TN Permit (Canadian Visa), OPT
(Optional Practical Training), CPT (Curricular Practical Training), H1B, L1 etc.
15. W2 Salary with benefits: This is FULL TIME, PERMANENT JOB.
Employee will be paid salary and get benefits like joining bonus, vacation,
holidays, workers compensation, relocation expenses, leave encashment,
IRA, Health/Vision/Dental/ Life Insurance, 401k, Education Benefits,
retirement plans etc. Usually company pays the candidate when there is no
job or in between projects.
W2 Hourly with benefits: This is FULL TIME, TEMPORARY job.
Employee will be paid on hourly basis and they will be enjoying benefits
also. As soon as the contract period is over, employee has to find another
job.
W2 Hourly with no benefits: This is FULL TIME, TEMPORARY job.
Employee will be paid on hourly basis and there are no benefits.
16. Contract Independent (1099): Candidate will work as a contractor for a
company for that contract period. Company sends 1099 form to candidate in
January, for the amount earned in previous year. Based on this 1099 form,
Candidate will submit tax returns to IRS, which includes employee and
employer taxes.
Contract to Hire Independent (1099): To start with, Candidate will work as a
contractor for a company and later will be hired as a full time, permanent
employee for that company. In January, company sends 1099 form for the
amount earned previous year in contract period. In addition, they also send w2
form to candidate in January, for the previous year wages and deductions
earned after hiring him as a fulltime employee. Based on this w2/1099 form,
Candidate will submit tax returns to IRS, which includes employee and
employer taxes.
17. Contract between a company and another
company:
Contract Corp to Corp: This is a contract between Company (Client) and
another company (vendor). Vendors candidates will work with client and
client sends 1099 form to vendor.
Contract to Hire Corp to Corp: Vendors candidates work with client ON
CONTRACT for a particular duration and later they will be hired as permanent
employee of the client. Client sends 1099 forms to Vendor for the contract
period worked by the candidate. After hiring the candidate into their payroll,
client sends w2 to the candidate for the wages earned during the previous year.
18. Paper Work
1. Preliminary Paper work: Which is done before interview
schedule for the consultants.
Documents:
i. NCA: Non Compete Agreement - includes tax terms and pay rates.
ii. NDA: Non Disclosure Agreement – Includes the norms to be followed
by the both parties.
2. Master Paper Work: Which is done after consultant is selected
for the project.
Documents:
i. MSA: Master service Agreement
ii. PO: Purchase Order.
