- Background on LinkedIn’s presence in Canada – 1.9M members in Toronto means that ~41% of the adult population is on LinkedIn. (based on 2011 Canadian Census data of 4.6M residents >15 yrs old). LinkedIn has over 100 employees located in Toronto.
- The Toronto region is doing relatively well when it comes to tech skills, but we could do better. Of the 1.9 million members in the Toronto Census Metropolitan Area (CMA), 11% or 214,000 are sharing that they have technology skills.

Compared to other similar cities around the world, Toronto offers a lot of opportunities for members who are thinking of starting a career in technology.
