• Yakrit is considered as Raktavaha mula sthana
• Several functions – several disorders – several herbs
• Ayurvedic chikitsa sutra on yakrit vikara depends on pitta
dosha and not only on organ
• Rasa panchakas of all dravyas indicated in yakrit vikara are
to increase Agni (metabolism)
• Mode of action of each herb differs in its approach for
example- Bringaraja, Katuki – increases Choleretic activity
