A kite is a quadrilateral with two pairs of congruent adjacent sides. The diagonals of a kite are perpendicular and one diagonal bisects the opposite angles. Theorems about kites state that the perpendicular bisector of one diagonal is the other diagonal, and that the area of a kite is half the product of the lengths of its diagonals.
