I feel like half the time we revel in the death scenes more than anything else. When Jason arrives to
New York City he walks through the alleys and sewers. Making me miss the good old days of Camp
Crystal Lake. Yet the story didn't feel write, Jason should explore the world in store for him, but
what's next putting him in space? Kane Hodder did a superb job at playing Jason once again. He
shows Jasons stregthn as well as brutality in the vulgar display of anger. Letting us see how power
Jason really is, I embrace Jason in this installment. It's a shame he was put into such a terrible plot.
Overall this film had nothing special, no continaution from the past films. While entertaining, but it
was by far the worst Friday the 13th. I was sad when the film ended and I hadn't jumped out of my
seat once. I asked myself as well if the slow motion sequences were at all relevant to the
surrounding. I dig slow motion seqences in the right scenario for a horror film, trying to make the
scares more on edge. I was laughing to myself, with that being said I must say how much I enjoyed
the murder in the dancing room, colorful, fun and one of my favorite deaths. In ways it reminded me
of the scene in "Carrie" where Tommy Ross and Carrie White dancing the night away. Then I

It's an awful place for children to play, so I don't understand what in their right minds would make it
seem like it was okay to come out here. I mean even we had to walk all the way from downtown
Crystal Lake due to the lack of parking, and let me tell you, that is not a fun walk. There's about an

reflection; however, he became so infatuated with his reflection that he drowned in the lake from
trying to kiss the beautiful being that he had seen within the waters. The lake then grieves over the
loss of Narcissus because his eyes reflected the beauty of the lake back to itself.
The reader meets Santiago, a traveling shepherd with his flock of sheep accompanying him on his
journey across the countryside of Spain. On their journey, Santiago and his herd stay the night at an
old church in ruins. Within the church there is a sycamore tree that is growing where the sacristy
used to stand. During Santiago's sleep, he has an unsettling dream that awakens him. Santiago
discusses with his sheep the memories of a girl he met the prior year at a town called Tarifa. The

Persuasive Essay On Community Service
The options for community service are endless. After narrowing down my options, I applied to
volunteer at the Crystal Lake Public Library this past summer. Having to go in for an interview was
a new experience for me, considering how I have never applied for a job. I believe that the exposure
to the interview process did two things for me: first, it put me out of my comfort zone, and second, it
taught me invaluable lessons about applying for future jobs and programs. This is because I am the
kind of person who can get nervous easily, and I struggle to hide it sometimes. An interview is a
type of situation that I would feel nervous in; however, I was able to overcome my fear and apply to
the library anyways. Therefore, I learned what I should expect to be asked, and I understand how I
should properly respond. Once I was accepted to the library's volunteer network, I was able to
choose which department I would work for in order to serve the community.
By volunteering at the library, I improved the Youth Services department, particularly by
participating in the Adopt–a–Shelf program. One part of my job was to rearrange the books in the
correct order when they got disorganized. This made it easier for parents and children to find the
books, movies, and CDs they were looking for. Another task that I enjoyed was replacing the books
to their proper location from the clean–up cart. It is important for books to be on the shelves where
they belong because otherwise it appears that books are not available. My favorite part of
volunteering for the library, however, was getting to help kids pick out the books they were looking
for. I remember many of the people I helped, but one of my fondest moments occurred on one of my
first days. I was working in the junior fiction department, and there was a young girl there. She
wanted to find a new series of books to read for the summer reading program. It was special to show
her the novels that I read when I was her age, especially when she chose to start the Mother–

I would have never imagined that in my community young men, women, and children are being
forced into the trafficking industry. Each and every city in the world has a specific place in which
targets are most commonly picked out. Barbara Wheeler, the state representative from Illinois,
informed me on the issues of human trafficking in Illinois, Crystal Lake included. She described
how massage parlors in Illinois are used as ways to bring in women, to be forced to perform sex acts
for the customers (Wheeler). The fact that this is happening so close to my home is very frightening.
I cannot fathom how difficult this is for these women to go through and not have a say in what is to

Robert Smithson's Spiral Jetty is a 3ft. 6 in. x 15 ft. x 1,500 ft. Earthwork located in Great Salt Lake,
Utah. It was created in April 1970. Located where the rails of the first transcontinental railroad met,
it sits near the Golden Spike monument; making it an actual landscape. It's a giant counterclockwise
spiral sculpture made of black rock, earth, algae, and salt crystals. It is said that Smithson used
dump trucks and bulldozers to haul in 6,650 tons of earth and rocks to complete the Spiral Jetty. In a

Minerals are what make–up Rocks and rocks are what make up the geology of an area. In this
report, we will focus on the geology of Ontario through its rocks. We will look at ten difference
rocks samples that have been collected from several different places here in Windsor Ontario
including the beach, the river, gravel pits, along highways and roadways as well in parks and
campsites. The rocks that were collected are all rocks that have formed right here in Ontario.
Canada and especially Ontario have very interesting and much filled geologic pasts. Ontario has
many types of rocks and minerals that have formed and are still forming due to the geology. Ontario
has sedimentary rocks; igneous rock, and metamorphic rock as well as minerals such as gold, silver,
quartz, and many more. In this paper, we will begin by talking about ten rocks that were collected
right here in Windsor Ontario. The rocks were examined from the outside which tended to be
weathered and the inside which were fresh.
Description of rock types:
The collection of the rocks was based on just picking up the most amount of difference looking
rocks that was possible and bringing them home to analyze. This was done for about two months
from many difference locations including campgrounds, beaches, rivers, highways as well as
construction sites. After about two months there were many rocks so I started to analyze and take
out the rocks that were of the same kind. I found many granite, basalt and conglomerate rocks.

majors. This quote connects with my life because two years ago I learned to stay positive, and never
give up. My family and I were in Glacier National Park, Montana. We were driving through the
park, on our way to Lake McDonald. Once we arrived, we were immediately entranced by the
stunning beauty of the lake, and the surrounding forests. We stood there, stunned, admiring the
crystal blue water of the lake, the luscious green trees, and the glaciers, sitting on the surrounding
mountains. But we didn't just come here to admire the lake, we came to swim!
"Let's hop in!" my brother Asher exclaimed.
We all headed towards the lake, but Mom and Dad decided to stay back on the shore, rather than
going in. Asher and I took off our flip–flops, and head to the lake. Asher was the first to dip his feet

Methodology
District 47 has the mission of educational excellence for all students. Quality education requires
community participation and shares responsibility, as well as it "demands a commitment to the
physical, emotional, social, and academic needs of learners." (Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 ,
2002–2017) However, English Language Learners have been underrepresented in Gifted and

Survey
My first data collection will be an online survey to find out what factors contribute to the low ELL
student enrollment in the Gifted program in District 47 and to determine the level of knowledge of
Extended Curriculum teachers about how ELLs can qualify for gifted and Talented Programs. This
survey questions will be comprised of multiple choice and free response questions, making this a
quantitative and qualitative survey. Furthermore, I will also ask how many ELLs students are
enrolled in the EC program at each school of District 47. This tool will appropriately measure the
enrolment data. However, I will use Synergy (a District 47 data system) to validate my findings after
gathering my survey. This validation consists of identifying if other Extended Curriculum students
were previously ELLs. My goal is to have an indicator if EC teacher are lacking knowledge of the
use of the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT).
Create a list
My second tool of data collection is a list. I will create a list with what are best practices for
identifying and screening English Language Learners throughout the course of the research with an
emphasis on "their gifts within the cultural context of learning a second–language." To accomplish
this I will use data from peer reviewed articles to create a list of recommended best practices, which
include name of universal screener, teacher recommendation input, if using

Anyone well acquainted with Blackstone Lake, would have noticed that Black Rock Island is not
like any of the other 8 islands. Nor are its rocks like the mainland, even just across from it, a mere
30 m to the north. Whereas most the grey rocks around the lake are granite gneisses or the darker
mafic rocks with the pinker ones having more feldspar, Black Rock Island is very black as its name
reflects. They feel denser as well, and a close inspection, especially on the west or north west side
has peculiar, crystal like, malformed hexagonal, pentagonal, quadrilateral and even triangular
prisms. What is this island all about?
There are not many islands of Black Rock Is. size that have a complete scientific paper devoted to it.
