2. 5 things I wish I knew when I graduated.
You can find these yellow
boxes throughout this
presentation. It helps me
tell the story that goes
with the pictures.
4. Say Yes more. At least
think before you say No.
When you graduate you
don’t know what you
wanne do. Say Yes to lots
of things. The more things
you do, the more you’ll
know what you want and
like.
11. Ask.
If you don’t get asked, you can’t say YES.
So if you want something, ask yourself.
The worst thing that can happen is that you
get a NO.
And you already had a NO, so you have
nothing to lose.
Dare to ask !
13. Make a lot of plans and tell people
about the plans. First they will help
you. People like to help other
people. And Second, telling people
about your plans, will help you
stick to the plan. A little pressure
never hurt anyone.
Plan.
14. But more important. Not everything
goes to plan. Don’t worry. Change the
plan.
The things you like at 21 are not the
same things you like at 35 or 45. So
make plans but don’t be afraid to
change them.
Only stupid people never change their
mind (plans)
Change the plan.
16. Once school ends and work starts, it’s
like someone pushes the fastforward
button. Days, weeks, months, years
(yes, years) flash by.
17. Push the pause button every once and
a while.
Enjoy a coffee break, enjoy a month off
the grid, It doesn’t matter. As long as
you pause. It sounds easier than it is.
18. Go for your plans, climb those
mountains, but enjoy the view on top
before you start the climb of the next
mountain.
Even better, pauze in the middle and
enjoy the path you’ve taken and where
you are at that time.
Enjoy the ride.
