DISCUSSION
 Both Charaka and Vagbhata considered disease like
Visarpa, Vidradhi, Arsha, Gulma, Svayathu in both
Bahyagatha and Abhyantra roga marga.
 Charaka and Vagbhata considered rakta under Bahya
rogamarga i.e Shaka raktadya twak. but
Acco to shushuta: rakta under the koshtagata.
SIGNIFICANCE OF ROGA MARGA
 Disease caused by single dosha afflicting one of the
rogamargas is a sign of good prognosis(sukhasaadya).
 Diseases occurring in marmasthisandhis is a sign of
bad prognosis.(kruchrasaadya)
 When doshas are seated in the deeper dhatus like
meda etc..involving the dhatus and marmasthi
sandhis it is an indication of palliability (yaapya).
 If a disease is manifested by involving all the margas
it clearly indicates the incurability(prathyakhyeya)
 Eg:
If vata is accumulated in amasaya the svedana is done
initially with rooksha dravyas,if kapha is accumulated
in pakvasaya the snigdhasweda is done initially
followed by rookshasweda.
 The knowledge of roga margas helps to understand
the dosha gati, thereby in understanding the disease
process and its diagnosis.
 It facilitates the knowledge about the prognosis of
disease in the respective rogamargas.
 There are some disease like Arsha which occurs in
two rogamarga like Bhahya and Abbhyantra depends
on doshagathi and vyadhimarga further chikitsa is
planed .
• Example: Arsha in Bahya marga – Sashtrakrata
chikitsa
Arsha in Abhyamantra marga – Asashtra
krata chikitsa
 When treating the sthanika doshas care is taken not to
disturb the agantu doshas.thisa is possible only with
the knowledge of roga marga.
 It is useful in the diagnosis and treatment of disease
conditions like vishamajwara, since it is considered as a
dhatu janya vikara.
 The knowledge of vyadhya marga and doshagathi helps
not only diagnosis and also have an vital role in
treatment also.
Eg: Doshas in kosthagatha – Vaman & Virachana
Doshas in Shakagatha – Raktamokshana

CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE:
 The knowledge of this movement of doshas is in the
formulation of treatment protocols. If the aagantu
dosha is weaker compared to the sthanika dosha, the
treatment should be oriented in the line of the
sthanikadosha samana.if the external dosha is stronger
and have antagonistic qualities with respect to the
sthanika dosha, the protocol should be developed after
thr analysis of strength of dosha of sthana and agantu
:the stronger dosha should be treated first.

  • 14. DISCUSSION  Both Charaka and Vagbhata considered disease like Visarpa, Vidradhi, Arsha, Gulma, Svayathu in both Bahyagatha and Abhyantra roga marga.  Charaka and Vagbhata considered rakta under Bahya rogamarga i.e Shaka raktadya twak. but Acco to shushuta: rakta under the koshtagata.
  • 15. SIGNIFICANCE OF ROGA MARGA  Disease caused by single dosha afflicting one of the rogamargas is a sign of good prognosis(sukhasaadya).  Diseases occurring in marmasthisandhis is a sign of bad prognosis.(kruchrasaadya)  When doshas are seated in the deeper dhatus like meda etc..involving the dhatus and marmasthi sandhis it is an indication of palliability (yaapya).  If a disease is manifested by involving all the margas it clearly indicates the incurability(prathyakhyeya)  Eg: If vata is accumulated in amasaya the svedana is done initially with rooksha dravyas,if kapha is accumulated in pakvasaya the snigdhasweda is done initially followed by rookshasweda.
  • 16.  The knowledge of roga margas helps to understand the dosha gati, thereby in understanding the disease process and its diagnosis.  It facilitates the knowledge about the prognosis of disease in the respective rogamargas.  There are some disease like Arsha which occurs in two rogamarga like Bhahya and Abbhyantra depends on doshagathi and vyadhimarga further chikitsa is planed . • Example: Arsha in Bahya marga – Sashtrakrata chikitsa Arsha in Abhyamantra marga – Asashtra krata chikitsa
  • 17.  When treating the sthanika doshas care is taken not to disturb the agantu doshas.thisa is possible only with the knowledge of roga marga.  It is useful in the diagnosis and treatment of disease conditions like vishamajwara, since it is considered as a dhatu janya vikara.  The knowledge of vyadhya marga and doshagathi helps not only diagnosis and also have an vital role in treatment also. Eg: Doshas in kosthagatha – Vaman & Virachana Doshas in Shakagatha – Raktamokshana
