3. E-government Is A Hot Topic
• e-government is a component of
contemporary transformation that societies
are experiencing as part of the intrinsic
humanity growth.
4. E-transformation is About Humans
• Human prosperity should be in our minds
while transforming into new reforms.
6. Today, its more serious
• “E-government is at the core of building a
strategic sustainable development framework
– better processes and systems’
– more efficiency,
– effectiveness,
– inclusion and
– sustainability”
Source: UN e-Government Report 2012
7. Digital Gap
• Digital Gap as one of the contemporary
challenges for societies:
– Is it an Obstacle!
Or
– a source of
creative energy.
Gap Creative tension
8. Organizational Learning
• e-government should support transforming
government agencies into “learning
organizations”.
9. Care About Human Resources
• Organization learning mandates fostering a
working environment that support skilful
workers adoption, motivation and retention.
10. Change in public sectors systems
• Public sectors are virtual systems.
• Changes to any existing system
might look positive in the beginning
while it may bounce back negatively
after a delay.
• Societies have to be wise and adopt
a structured approach for change.
11. E-Gov & Organizational Development
• Organizational development
should not be waited as a
byproduct of e-government
transformation; it should be in the
core of it.
12. Dialogue Rather than Discussion
• “Dialogue” in Greek =“learning together”.
• Create energy by:
– Listening actively,
– Asking good questions that contribute to the
topics rather than challenging the persons
– Self criticism versus
Self-flagellation (punishment).
