It‟s a general term used for a variety
of conditions in which a person is born
with a reproductive or sexual anatomy
that doesn‟t seem to fit the typical
definitions of female or male.

physical sex to conform to their

NEW ZEALAND
• In New Zealand, gender diversity
includes, transsexual people, cross
dressers, intersex, drag queens and
drag kings, and Māori and Pacific
gender and sexual identities people.
• Transgender communities were
increasingly visible in the early
2000s.

says they have had homosexual
relationships.
