12. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• The scheme provides one time reimbursement only against an Industrial
Entrepreneur Memoranda (IEM)/ Permanent SSI Registration/ Industrial License and
FSSAI License.
• The applicant should not have obtained/applied for grant/subsidy from any ministry /
department of central government/GOI organization/agencies and state government
for purpose adoption of Total Quality Management System.
• Application to be submitted in the prescribed format along with the document
required to the Ministry of Food Processing of India –New Delhi

18. IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHEME OF
TECHNOLOGY UPGRADATION, ESTABLISHMENT,
MODERNISATION
The brief explanation is as follows :
The subsidy is 25% on machinery + technical civil works or 50 Lacs which ever is
lower.
You should have a term loan of minimum 10 % of the project cost from the bank
or Financial Institution . We require a sanction letter of the term loan.
The scheme is now decentralized. It would be submitted in your state itself in
Agro department.
The Grant would be release in one lumpsum or as decided by empowered
committee on case to case basis.

22. VENTURE CAPITAL ASSISSTANCE SCHEME
(VCA)
VCA: It is an interest free loan provided by SFAC, Ministry of Agriculture,
for setting up of agribusiness projects (including Dairy and Poultry) up to a
project cost of Rs. 500 lakh.
VCA Amount: 26% of promoter’s capital.
Minimum project size: Rs. 15.00 lakhs.
Tenure: Same as that of Term Loan sanctioned by banks & Financial
institution.
Individual entrepreneurs, coops, FPOs, SHGs, companies etc. all eligible to
apply
Assistance to prepare DPRs through empanelled consultants of SFAC/State
SFACs
23. IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED
The Means of Finance in the Detailed Project Report should include the VCA amount as one of the
component.
The Appraisal note of the Bank also should take the VCA as a component in the Means of
Finance.
The processing industry should get into agreement with the local farmers for direct
procurement of the raw materials from them. This fact should reflect in the project report.
The term loan should be taken from any of the Nationalized Bank or any Regional Rural Bank.

25. APEDA PRODUCTS
• Floriculture & Seeds (comprises of flowers such as Rose, Tuberose, Glads, Anthurium,
Carnations, Marigold etc)
• Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (Mangoes, Walnuts, Grapes, Bananas, Pomegranates account
for larger portion of fruits exported from the country while Onions, Okra, Bitter Gourd,
Green Chilles, Mushrooms and Potatoes contribute largely to the vegetable export basket).
• Processed Foods & vegetable (covers fruit and vegetables; spices; meat and poultry; milk
and milk products, alcoholic beverages, fisheries, plantation, grain processing and other
consumer product groups like confectionery, chocolates and cocoa products, soya-based
products, mineral water, high protein foods etc).
• Organic products (certified organic products which includes all varieties of food products
namely Sugarcane, Cotton, Oil Seeds, Basmati rice, Pulses, Spices, Tea, Fruits, Dry fruits,
Vegetables, Coffee and their value added products. The production is not limited to the
edible sector but also produces organic cotton fiber, functional food products etc).

26. APEDA – ORGANIC , BRC CERTIFICATION
The scheme is 50% of the cost of consultancy, certification [for 3years with yearly

1. The scheme is eligible for registered exporter under APEDA [manufacturer exporter].
2. In-principle approval is required before expenditure on the basis of quotation of
Certification Body.

42. CREDIT LINKED CAPITAL SUBSIDY
SCHEME (CLCSS)
• To facilitate Technology Upgradation/purchase of new machinery by SSI units, subsidy is given by Govt. of India by providing
15% capital subsidy for induction of proven technologies approved under the scheme.
RATE OF SUBSIDY
• 15% or Rs. 15/- Lacs, whichever is lower (Subsidy is calculated with reference to the purchase price of eligible Plant and
Machinery approved under the scheme)
• The Scheme is in operation for the period up to 31.3.2017.
