Introduction
This	 handbook	 describes	 what	 business	 coaching	             at	many	Centers	as	an	effective	means	of	developing

What is Business Coaching?

Business	 coaching	 is	 often	 confused	 with	 other	
employee development fields such as mentoring
and	 consulting.	 The	 following	 table	 illustrates	 the	
differences	 between	 business	 coaching	 and	 other	
forms	of	development.

Characteristics of Effective Coaches
