This document describes the development process for different elements of a music magazine mock-up, including the front cover, contents page, and double page spread. Key elements included on the front cover are a central image, bold font, barcode, social media icons, pull quote from an artist, and cover lines. The contents page features images, varying fonts, an editor's note, enlarged "Contents" text, and social media links. The double page spread has a large featured image, bold artist initial, central pull quote to intrigue readers, and an interview using different fonts and colors to distinguish questions from answers.
2. 1. Here I used a central image as well as a bold font to
captivate the readers attention alongside a bar code & social
networking icons all of which are conventions of a music
magazine.
3. I used a pull quote as stated in my mock up that is
directly from the RnB artist as well as having several
cover lines.
2. Here I inserted a bold pull quote to grab the consumers
attention immediately .
4. I used Photoshop to create my Masthead I used an
anchorage by inserting a bomb interlinking with my
Masthead “Dynamite” to create an effect.
4. 1. Here I inserted a mid shot image
alongside another small image that
promotes my magazine. I tried out
various fonts for the contents page.
2. I then went on to insert an editors note as well as enlarging
my font of the word “Contents” using the red, white and
black colour scheme I chose through my mood board.
3. I used colloquial direct address to impact the
consumer with the bold text – “What's Good!?”
4. I inserted the artists mc
name of “BIG J” using a
variation of fonts and bold
colours. As well as inserting
social networking icons :
twitter & Facebook links
5. As well as inserting the
feature article list of contents
with page numbers.
6. 1. Here I inserted an image to
feature on my Double page spread
as well as inserting a bold large font
of the initial of the artists name.
2. I used a bold central pull quote to intrigue the
consumer making them want to read the article
about the RnB artist.
3. I then went onto inserting content of an interview with the
artist Nicki. I used the colour scheme of red, white and black
accordingly using italics to differentiate between the question &
answers.
Lastly adding a header with the title of “Queen
of Hip Hop” I used a crown on the Q to add to
interest.
