2. Who is an entrepreneur?
 “An entrepreneur is a person who is willing and able to
convert a new idea or invention into a successful
innovation.”
-Joseph Schumpeter
 Entrepreneur is the person responsible for setting up a
business or an enterprise.
 He takes the initiative, is innovative, who takes risks
and looks for high achievements.
 He is a change agent who puts up new projects that
create wealth, open up employment opportunities and
leads to the growth of the sector.

3. Entrepreneurship can be defined…
 “Entrepreneurship is based on purposeful and systematic
innovation. It includes not only the independent
businessman but also company directors and managers
who actually carryout innovative functions.”
- Joseph Schumpeter
 In the above definition, entrepreneurship refers to the
functions performed by an entrepreneur in establishing an
enterprise. Just as management is regarded as what
managers do, Entrepreneurship may be regarded as what
Entrepreneurs do.
 Thus, we can say that entrepreneurship is a process of
involving various actions to be undertaken to establish an
enterprise.
