Trail Blazers Sign Morris to Non-Guaranteed Contract
1.
2. An established Christian leader in
Portland, Oregon, Pastor Max Garza has
served with Victory Outreach Ministries as
a regional pastor for more than 20 years.
In his free time, Pastor Max Garza follows
his local NBA team, the Portland Trail
Blazers.
3. The Trail Blazers organization recently signed
6-foot-4-inch point guard Darius Morris to a
non-guaranteed contract that will give the
former Michigan Wolverine the chance to
prove his worth at the Blazers’ training
camp. The 41st pick in the 2011 NBA draft,
Morris played his first two seasons with the
Los Angeles Lakers and has since had stints
with the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles
Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies.
4. Although his career numbers are less
than stellar, Morris offers an impressive
frame that could help him shine in the
right situation. It’s unlikely that the right
situation will come to Morris as a Blazer,
however, as the team already has the
maximum number of 15 players signed to
guaranteed contracts for the 2014-15
season.
