  2. Most people are busy doing unimportant things.
  3. Busyness is a weed. Ignore it, and it takes over.
  4. Busyness spreads through email.
  5. Busyness runs rampant in meetings.
  6. Here’s how to weed out busyness…
  7. Give people time to think before they talk.
  8. Reward brevity and accuracy.
  9. Dig deeper, and find actual facts.
  10. Give people time to exercise, sleep and travel.
  11. Experiment, but do it in a disciplined way.
  12. Say “I don’t know” when you don’t know.
  13. Value gut feelings, but figure out how to quantify them.
  14. Most importantly, pay attention.
  15. Companies that pay attention… spot opportunities.
  16. Pay close attention. We have not yet begun to understand how things really work.
