وبالمثل: فإن النانومتر هو وحدة لقياس أطوال الأشياء الصغيرة جدا ، وتعبر عن أبعاد أقطار ومقاييس ذرات
وجزيئات المواد والمركبات والخليا والجسيمات المجهرية.

Nanotechnology original history started when Richard Feynman presented his
Lecture in 1959 at Caltech Univ., which entitled "There's Plenty of Room at the
Bottom"; suggested that there were no limits for producing things from the
atomic level.

4. THE MAIN IDEA OF NANOTECHNOLOGY
تتأثر جميع الأنظمة سواء أكانت بيولوجية، كيميائية، أو فيزيائية بتغير أبعاد وأحجام موادها.
ويمتد هذا التأثير ليهيمن على سلوك هذه المواد النانونية في التفاعلات المختلفة.
أحجام ومقاييس Miniaturizing وتقوم الفكرة الرئيسة لصناعة تقنية الصغائر على أن تصغير
المواد يؤدي إلى أن تسلك سلوكاً مغايراً للمواد التقليدية كبيرة الحجم. كما انها تصبح ذات
صفات وخصائص شديدة التميز.
Therefore, Nanomaterial resulted from material in an atomic
structure reformed to become the smallest grain with newer
and higher characteristics than traditional in the largest
grain.

5. NATURE OF NANOTECHNOLOGY
تضم تقنية الصغائر مدى واسع من حقول العلم، فهي

6. THE IMPORTANCE OF
NANOTECHNOLOGY
اعتبرت تقنية الصغائر تقنية القرن 21 لتضمنها خصائص فيزيائية، كيميائية، الكترونية،
وميكانيكية فريدة، والتي تحدث تأثيراتها الفائقة فروقاً جوهرية في تطبيقات العلوم
كالطب، والطاقة، والبيئة، والصناعة، والزراعة وغيرها.
Nanotechnology is being regarded worldwide as the technology of the 21st.
century, which has unique phenomena and high properties. The
revolution of nanotechnology due to physical, chemical, electrical,
mechanical, magnetic, optical and other super characteristics.

(2005) suggested that the
nanoscale progress is critical
for national security,
prosperity of the economy,
and enhances the quality of
life.

7. Nanotechnology a main base for many innovative branches.
Scientists are looking forward to creating new applications that can
solve many scientific problems in order to develop the life of all
concerned nations.

Environmentally, most nanotechnology applications are useful to
remove toxic materials from soil at contaminated sites, and also
reduce environmental pollutions.

10. NANOTECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
Nanotechnology education is now one of the domestic and international
challenges in order to solve the problems facing society, while
simultaneously making safer life and better future.
أصبح تعليم تقنية الصغائر تحدياً إقليمياً وعالمياً لمواجهة مشكلات المجتمع وتحقيق مستقبل أفضل.
بعضالباحثين أوصوا بإدماج مفاهيم النانو إلى المناهج وأنشطة التدريس
There is importance of integrating nanotechnology concepts into
curriculum matrix and teaching activities to encourage learners for
thinking towards advanced science (Shalaby, 2012; Drane, et al, 2009;
Hersam et al, 2004; Meyyappan, 2004).

National Science Foundation (NSF), explored curriculum development, courses offered in
universities, education training centers and networks, technological education, and
student fellowship programs etc.

There is an educational need to incorporate nanotechnology education into curriculum and
teaching,
using modern knowledge in nanotechnology field to cover the lack of learning material in
that area.

12. NANOTECHNOLOGY EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND
LACK
بعض البحوث على الصعيد العالمي أكدت حاجة التربية لتناول منطقة علوم النانو لتغطية
فجوة ندرة مواد التعلم بالميدان، والتي تعوق التربويين عن تقديم الفكرة والمفاهيم
الرئيسة للنانو للمتعلمين.
Drane, et al (2009) suggested that education should focus on
nanoscience, and that lack of educational materials prevents
educators from providing basic concepts and ideas of
nanoscience, as nanotechnology education demands creating
methods and means that are effective in teaching those objectives.

يوجد معياران لمناهج تقنية الصغائر هما الشكل و المحتوى :
The form of a nanotechnology curriculum
Regretfully, there is a lack of learning resources in the nanotechnology field as
there are insufficient direct resources from nanotechnology education.
• learning texts e.g. (e-books, web based-courses, e-journals, etc..),
• learning equipment e.g. (laboratory devices, virtual labs, screening tools, etc..)
• and learning displays and exhibits e.g. (films, presentations, etc.).

There are two main content criteria toward building an effective nanotechnology
curriculum, namely formulating and organizing,
