3. Guna- The Ayurvedic Concept
• Though philosophical concept of आयुर्वेद is generally
based on र्वैशेषिक, न्याय, and समिक्षा systems, but in
various references ayurvedic scholars have over ruled
the concept of these system, as it was required for
practical utility of these concepts. With reference to
the substance like सािान्य and षर्वशेि it is noteworthy.
So the story with the concept of gunas. Generally
speaking the attributes identified with since organs or
the physical properties are called attributes.
• Ex- stone, gold etc.
4. गुण
• Guna is one of that resides in the dravya inherently
and is devoid of action. That means guna and
dravya are connected inseparably. But guna does
not possess its own action.
5. निरुक्ति
• गुण्यिे आिंत्रिे लोक अिेि इनि गुण:।
• The reason why people attract towards any dravya
is called as guna.
6. लक्षण
• सिर्वायी िु निचेष्ट : कारण गुण:। च सु१/५१
• अथ द्रव्याश्रििा ज्ञेया निगुुणा निक्ष्िया गुणा :॥ काररकार्वली
• षर्वश्र्वलक्षणा गुणा:। र.र्वै.
• गुणत्र्वजानििाि ्। र.र्वै
• गौणत्र्वाि गुण संज्ञकाि :।
• निगुुणास्िु गुणा: स्िृि:। सु.सू
7. गुणोत्पत्ती प्रक्रिया
• पाकप्रयोज्य- The guna which produce from पातय
that guna is पाकप्रयोज्य.
• पाकजन्य- The guna which produce by संयोग of
अक्नि is called as पाकजन्य guna.
