Moda na bycie fit nie mija. Beneficjentami tego trendu są również kluby fitness w Europie. Obecnie należy do nich już 60 mln osób, czyli o 4 proc. więcej niż rok temu. Przychody klubów wyniosły w 2017 roku 26,6 mld euro. Jak wynika z piątej edycji raportu „The European Health & Fitness Market 2018”, przygotowanego przez firmę doradczą Deloitte we współpracy z organizacją EuropeActive rozdrobniony polski rynek usług fitness w kolejnych latach powinien dalej się rozwijać i konsolidować. Do klubów, których liczba na koniec ub. roku wyniosła ponad 2,6 tys., uczęszcza już 2,91 mln Polaków, jednak procent społeczeństwa jaki odwiedza kluby pozostaje nadal poniżej poziomu obserwowanego w Europie Zachodniej.

This is mainly due to the continued growth of the discount segment in many European countries, including large markets such as the UK, Germany, France or Spain
ca. 91% of revenues are membership fees, which decreased by -1.0%
ca. 9% related to other revenues such as one-time subscription/initiation fees, food/beverages, personal training or wellness
The -4.1% decline in other revenues is also a consequence of the discount growth, as low-cost operators generally have less additional revenue sources beside membership fees.
Main driver: other revenues per member in Germany declined by nearly -15% in 2016
