Children (from 1 yr age) – 1/8 – ¼ ratti (15-30 mg)

Kachakupi wrapped with cloth and clay 7 times all-
around, Valukayantra, Khalvayantra, Angarakoshti
Suitable in Vata and Kapha prakriti persons
Should be used carefully in Pita prakriti and Pita prakopita
vyadhi

Generally agnideepana, much beneficial in mandagni and
mandagni janitha saangrahani roga
Potabandha of mercury is present in parpati kalpanas
Parpati is blackish , shiny , thin flakes and is brittle, breaks
with a definite ‘kut’ sound

Of 3 pakas- mridu, madhyama and khara pakas
Mridupaka parpati- therapeutically less effective
Madhyamapaka- most effective
Kharapaka- not to be used internally

vijayaparpati, abhraparpati, bolaparpati,
panchamrithaparpati, sarveswaraparpati, swetaparpati,
mallaparpati etc ….

Pottali Rasayanas
Sagni murchana
Base is kajjali
Highly potent kalpana, can be used as life saving drug in
critical conditions
Very similar to mathra of sidha system
Apparatus- khalwa yantra, musha, koshti, saravam,
dolayantra, silk cloth etc
Many methods are described for preparation of pottali
rasayanas
Swedana in dolayantra using drava gandhaka
Giving bhudhara puta for 2 days
Medicine filled in cowry and gaja puta is done
Pachana in valukayantra or lavanayantra for 3
yamas
