We are happy to share with you our 3rd annual ranking of the most
popular programs among MBAs from around the world.
In addition to the analysis by industry and functional area, we shed light
this year on the popularity of programs as perceived by students in
different regions of the world.

What are Development Programs?
Structured, intense, and often rotational, MBA Development
Programs are fast-track programs within companies to develop
and groom high-potential MBAs for future leadership roles.
They vary a lot from one program to the next as each company
tailors its programs to its specific needs: Structure, duration,
experiential experiences, function focus, rotations, mentorship
and coaching, on-the-job and formal training, etc.
However, what all of them have in common is the objective to
shape and grow the future top leaders of these organizations,
and therefore, the rigorous selection criteria to attract and recruit
the right candidates.

Our Unique Data
We track every Development Program, worldwide. We add new
programs, archive old ones, and update current ones through monthly
manual checks, regular connections with companies, as well as on-going
automatic processes to alert us of any intermediary changes.
We have two directories of development programs:

to 2017.
• Amazon is still Nr 1, closely followed by Johnson &
Johnson
• ABInBev makes a substantial leap forward from last
year, advancing up for eleven places
• Two more remarkable improvements take place:
GSK and L’Oréal gain substantial ground from last
year
• IBM switches position from Nr 5 to Nr 4. Small
improvement noticeable as well for Emerson, moving
from Nr 9 to Nr 7
• Medtronic moves up for a few spots to Nr 9
• BP holds the rank steady at Nr 10
• While some of the larger companies like Mars (down
10 spots), Chevron (down 10 spots) and J.P.Morgan
(down 7 spots) lose ground

Our Associate Internship Program is aimed at MBA
students who already have significant work experience
and a passion to learn more. You'll join our team for 8-10
weeks during the break before your final year of study.
Throughout the program, you'll develop a broad base of
knowledge and a detailed understanding of your chosen
business area.
The Global MBA Summer Internship is the pipeline for
our full-time Global MBA Program. The internship is 10-12
weeks long, starting with a global induction in our New
York office. Based on your interests and strengths, you
will be assigned a strategic project within a function. The

special rotational program for high potential graduates. It
is designed to give participants a best-in-class hands-on
training and is your passport to a successful career with
us. The program consists of three 12-18 months rotations
with different locations and/or functions in which you will
manage key projects through leadership, ownership and
accountability.
Extreme Blue at IBM isn't your average internship. It's a
race against time - with the 12 week timeline compelling
you to prove your creativity, passion and knowledge to
deliver some of the most innovative solutions to real
business challenges. Your task? Work in a team to
develop an idea to address a real-world challenge
confronting part of IBM's business and then turn that idea
into a real product.
